Table 15 gives an indication <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> prevalence <strong>of</strong> second-hand smoke exposure among<br />

non-smokers in <strong>the</strong> home, by ethnic group.<br />

After adjusting for age, Māori non-smokers were found to be more likely to be exposed<br />

to second-hand smoke in <strong>the</strong> home compared with <strong>the</strong> total population (Figure 65).<br />

European/O<strong>the</strong>r non-smokers were less likely to be exposed to second-hand smoke in<br />

<strong>the</strong> home compared with <strong>the</strong> total population. There were no o<strong>the</strong>r significant<br />

differences by ethnic group.<br />
