Acknowledgements
This book represents the work and expertise of dozens of researchers over a
significant period of time. In particular, we would like to thank all the case
study and country profile authors for their detailed analyses of the health policy
responses to the economic crisis in their countries. We would like to extend

forbearance in the face of numerous requests for information, fact checking
and updates.
