24. SOCIAL SECURITY, WORKER’S COMPENSATION INSURANCE AND
UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE
1. The Employer must carry at its expense adequate Worker’s Compensation
Insurance for all Artists covering work-related injury or illness wherever incurred.
2. The Employer agrees to obtain for all Artists appropriate Unemployment
Insurance coverage for all.
3. The Employer shall disclose to AGMA evidence of Employer’s
compliance with the provisions of this Section 24. 1 and 2 above.
4. At any time during an Artist’s period of employment with Employer other
than a lay-off period, Artist shall not perform any outside engagement without first entering into
a release Agreement and a worker’s compensation acknowledgment, which shall be substantially
in the form set forth in Exhibit 3.
5. During any period in which Artist is on lay-off, Artist shall not perform
any outside engagement without first signing a worker’s compensation acknowledgment, which
shall be substantially in the form set forth in Exhibit 3.
25. GOVERNING LAW
It is the intention of the parties that the validity, construction, performance, and
application of this Agreement shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the state of New
York.
