During employment weeks, the Employer will contribute as provided in<br />

paragraphs A and C above.<br />

During lay-<strong>of</strong>f weeks within the Guaranteed Employment period, the<br />

Employer will contribute the premiums for individual coverage to the AGMA Health Fund Plan<br />

A in monthly installments for <strong>Artists</strong> engaged on a Guaranteed Employment Basis.<br />

D. FAMILY COVERAGE<br />

The Employer agrees that he will deduct the cost <strong>of</strong> Family Coverage from<br />

the compensation <strong>of</strong> any Artist described in paragraph C above, who chooses to elect such<br />

additional dependent coverage. The Employer agrees to remit this payment to the AGMA<br />

Health Fund along with the required Employer contributions on a monthly basis.<br />

E. DENTAL COVERAGE<br />

Employer agrees to pay seventy-five (75%) percent <strong>of</strong> the cost <strong>of</strong> dental insurance for any<br />

Artist desiring to purchase the Employer-sponsored dental insurance plan. <strong>Artists</strong> will be<br />

consulted and must approve the proposed plan.<br />

16. SEVERANCE PAY AND CAREER TRANSITION<br />

A. Any Artist who has been notified in writing that he/she will not be<br />

reengaged for the following season and any Artist who has a debilitating injury or illness which<br />

can be reasonably presumed to end the dancing career <strong>of</strong> the Artist will be paid an amount equal<br />

to one-half (1/2) the then current minimum weekly base salary, pursuant to Section 13.F. herein,<br />

for each year <strong>of</strong> employment.<br />

B. Any Artist who has completed his/her ten (10) or more years <strong>of</strong> service<br />

with the Employer and has decided to retire from THE ALVIN AILEY AMERICAN DANCE<br />

THEATER will be paid an amount equal to one-half (1/2) the then current minimum weekly<br />

base salary, pursuant to Section 13.F. herein, for each year <strong>of</strong> employment.<br />

C. Payments made under this paragraph will be split equally over the<br />

remaining payroll dates <strong>of</strong> the Company that occur between the end <strong>of</strong> the regular season and the<br />

end <strong>of</strong> that Company’s fiscal year.<br />

17. LEAVES, FREE DAYS AND HOLIDAYS<br />

A. VACATION<br />

Each Artist with the Employer at the beginning <strong>of</strong> the City Center season will<br />

receive Vacation Pay in an amount equal to one week’s minimum compensation. Payment for<br />

said week shall be made during the first full week <strong>of</strong> work at City Center. In addition to the one<br />

week <strong>of</strong> City Center vacation, the Stage Manager shall receive an additional two weeks at ten<br />
