Payment <strong>of</strong> meal money will be paid at the same time as the weekly salary.<br />

The Employer shall pay all <strong>Artists</strong> the appropriate meal money allowance whether<br />

or not the airline provides meal service or snacks.<br />

2. Sustenance Payment During Travel<br />

If an Artist under any type <strong>of</strong> employment contract is required to travel or be<br />

outside the city <strong>of</strong> origination, he shall be paid not less than the applicable meal money for each<br />

day (beginning at midnight and ending the following midnight) or part there<strong>of</strong>, and Employer<br />

will provide and pay for hotel accommodations. Overseas and/or foreign meal money shall be<br />

negotiated and contracted on a separate overseas rider. The amount paid for overseas and/or<br />

foreign meal money may be reduced by $1.00 per day from the rate established by the U.S. State<br />

Department.<br />

3. Cost <strong>of</strong> Living Adjustment: A cost <strong>of</strong> living adjustment will be<br />

recognized and implemented according to the following formula:<br />

(i) If the percentage increase in the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Labor Statistics<br />

Consumer Price Index, Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, New Series <strong>of</strong> the City <strong>of</strong><br />

New York, New York, in April, <strong>2012</strong> exceeds such Cost <strong>of</strong> Living Index for April, 2011 by<br />

greater than two (2%) percent, then all meal money rates specified in this Agreement shall be<br />

increased by such excess percentage over two (2%) percent not exceeding 6%, effective with the<br />

first pay period following July 1, <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

(ii) If the percentage increase in the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Labor Statistics<br />

Consumer Price Index, Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, New Series <strong>of</strong> the City <strong>of</strong><br />

New York, New York, in April, 2013, exceeds such Cost <strong>of</strong> Living Index for April, <strong>2012</strong> by<br />

greater than two (2%) percent, then all meal money rates specified in this Agreement shall be<br />

increased by such excess percentage over two (2%) percent not exceeding 6%, effective with the<br />

first pay period following July 1, 2013.<br />

(iii) If the percentage increase in the Bureau <strong>of</strong> Labor Statistics<br />

Consumer Price Index, Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers, New Series <strong>of</strong> the City <strong>of</strong><br />

New York, New York, in April, 2014, exceeds such Cost <strong>of</strong> Living Index for April, 2013 by<br />

greater than two (2%) percent, then all meal money rates specified in this Agreement shall be<br />

increased by such excess percentage over two (2%) percent not exceeding 6%, effective with the<br />

first pay period following July 1, 2014.<br />

H. MISCELLANEOUS COMPENSATION<br />

1. Extraordinary Risk - The term “Extraordinary Risk” shall be applied to a<br />

performance or on-stage technical rehearsal or Dress Rehearsal which entails one or more <strong>of</strong> the<br />

following high risk feats for an Artist:<br />
