C. BOAT TRAVEL, CONDITIONS OF<br />

Where transportation can only be provided for by boat, the accommodations for the Artist<br />

shall be what is commonly termed “Tourist” passage or better. In the event that any boat does<br />

not have “Tourist” passage, the accommodations shall be such passage as is comparable to what<br />

is commonly termed “Tourist” passage or better.<br />

D. BUS TRAVEL, CONDITIONS OF<br />

1. In any Monday through Sunday week, travel by bus shall not exceed a<br />

total <strong>of</strong> nine (9) hours excluding any in-city travel.<br />

2. There shall be an uninterrupted two (2) hour rest period after a bus trip<br />

during which time the Artist may not be called upon by the Employer to participate in any<br />

rehearsal for the Employer. If the Employer shall violate the provisions in this paragraph, the<br />

Employer agrees to compensate each Artist at the hourly Penalty Rate for each hour or fraction<br />

there<strong>of</strong> for each such violation. The two hours shall not apply when the distance traveled is<br />

seventy-five (75) miles or less, or if the time traveled is one and one-half (1-1/2) hours or less.<br />

3. Pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> Insurance- The Employer agrees to submit pro<strong>of</strong> to AGMA, in<br />

writing, that the carrier company carries liability insurance <strong>of</strong> a minimum <strong>of</strong> one hundred<br />

thousand ($100,000) dollars for each Artist engaging in travel.<br />

4. Bus Standard - The Employer agrees that transportation by bus shall be by<br />

first-class bus, with heating and ventilating facilities in working order and with toilet facility,<br />

sufficient seating capacity, and luggage facilities when trip is scheduled to exceed one (1) hour.<br />

In the event <strong>of</strong> an emergency, a replacement bus shall meet the same standards as required for<br />

the initial bus. If the standards are not met, the <strong>Artists</strong> shall have the right to refuse to travel by<br />

bus. The Employer will not be responsible for payment <strong>of</strong> the overtime travel penalty contained<br />

in this paragraph if the excess travel time is due to mechanical failure over which the Employer<br />

has no control. Buses must be clean and have clean, working toilet facility.<br />

5. Rest Stops – The Employer agrees that where an Artist is required to<br />

travel by means <strong>of</strong> bus the Artist will have a one hour rest stop for every 4 hours <strong>of</strong> travel and a<br />

20 minute rest stop for every 2 hours <strong>of</strong> travel.<br />

6. Should the <strong>Artists</strong> not receive a full hour lunch stop, <strong>Artists</strong> shall be<br />

compensated at the Travel Overtime Rate.<br />

7. Two (2) buses will be provided for any bus trip <strong>of</strong> four (4) or more hours.<br />

Two (2) buses will always be provided when <strong>Artists</strong> and Crew Members travel together.<br />

For overseas bus travel, the Employer may provide and pay for one (1) bus large<br />

enough for each Artist to occupy two (2) seats. Otherwise Employer will provide and pay for<br />

two (2) buses.<br />
