5. Transportation Reimbursement On Tour - The Employer also agrees to<br />

pay upon presentation <strong>of</strong> receipts for all transportation charges which may be required <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Artist by the Employer during the course <strong>of</strong> a trip, such as taxi fares between terminals, etc. and<br />

also transportation expenses incurred for doctor or emergency due to illness or injury on tour.<br />

6. Personal Baggage - The Employer shall provide and pay for the<br />

transportation <strong>of</strong> the Artist’s personal baggage to such outside point or points and return to the<br />

City <strong>of</strong> Origination up to the maximum limit provided by carriers for travel in the United States,<br />

and the Employer or the carrier shall be liable for any loss to the Artist on account <strong>of</strong> loss or<br />

damage to such baggage (ordinary wear and tear excepted) while in transit if the Artist shall have<br />

provided a suitable container therefore and shall have kept the same locked when not in use, but<br />

not in excess <strong>of</strong> One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) for each Artist. For legs <strong>of</strong> a tour that are at<br />

least 4 weeks in length, the Employer will pay airline fees for up to two (2) checked bags, each<br />

bag not to exceed the carriers weight limit at the City <strong>of</strong> Origination. For legs <strong>of</strong> a tour that are<br />

less than 4 weeks in length, the Employer will pay airline fees for one (1) checked bag. In<br />

addition, the Employer will honor the air carrier’s number <strong>of</strong> bags checked without charge on the<br />

flight from the city <strong>of</strong> origin on any flights during the tour (i.e., flights during the tour that may<br />

have fewer allowable bags checked without charge). The Employer will pay excess-baggage<br />

charges, if any, on flights during the tour for personal baggage up to the number <strong>of</strong> checked bags<br />

allowed on the flight from the city <strong>of</strong> origin. On all tours, <strong>Artists</strong> will be allowed one personal<br />

bag and one carry-on bag. If the airline restricts the amount <strong>of</strong> carry-on luggage to only one<br />

carry-on bag the Employer will pay for an extra checked bag or the excess weight if checked and<br />

carry-on bags are consolidated.<br />

7. Transportation to places <strong>of</strong> Performance or Rehearsal<br />

The Employer agrees that in the event that the Artist while on tour only shall be<br />

required to perform or rehearse in any town, bus or similar transportation (i.e., taxis, private cars,<br />

public transportation, when AGMA Delegate(s) and Employer deem it safe) to and from such<br />

place be provided for all <strong>Artists</strong> and paid by the Employer. If the Artist is scheduled for<br />

rehearsal outside the theater <strong>of</strong> performance, the Employer will grant the Artist sufficient time to<br />

allow the Artist travel time to reach the theater <strong>of</strong> performance in addition to the time<br />

requirements <strong>of</strong> Sections 9.D.2 and 9.E.6. (i) In the event <strong>of</strong> inclement weather the Employer<br />

shall provide, or (ii) if the AGMA delegate asserts to the Employer that the route between the<br />

hotel and the theater is unsafe, the Employer shall not unreasonably withhold its consent to<br />

provide, a bus to <strong>Artists</strong> to the theater and one-half (1/2) hour after Curtain Time to provide<br />

transportation to the hotel. Similarly, if there are no eating accommodations available, the<br />

Employer shall make provision to transport <strong>Artists</strong> to and from a restaurant or provide service <strong>of</strong><br />

food.<br />

8. Travel between Midnight and 8:00 A.M.<br />

Whenever transportation is scheduled to commence or to conclude between the<br />

hours <strong>of</strong> midnight and 8:00 A.M. the Artist shall receive additional compensation <strong>of</strong> the hourly<br />

Penalty Rate for each half hour or fraction there<strong>of</strong> traveled. In addition to any overtime incurred<br />
