day per Artist under any circumstances and shall be compensated at the appropriate half-hour<br />

rate.<br />

R. Open Rehearsal – “Open Rehearsal” shall be any activity in the presence <strong>of</strong> a non-paying<br />

audience and which does not result in additional rehearsal or other working time and does not<br />

require the Artist to wear performance costumes, performance hair or make-up. Artistic<br />

Directors will moderate Open Rehearsals. <strong>Artists</strong> will not be required to make oral presentations<br />

to attendees.<br />

6. SCHEDULING<br />

A. POSTING OF REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE SCHEDULES<br />

1. A call board shall be provided in each place where rehearsals are regularly<br />

scheduled, and all notices concerning, rehearsals shall be posted thereon.<br />

2. During all Rehearsal and Performance weeks the complete and detailed<br />

individual Artist’s schedule MUST be posted by 3PM one (1) working day in advance <strong>of</strong> the<br />

rehearsal, and complete casting shall be posted by seven (7) days prior to each performance.<br />

Complete casting and programming for the entire <strong>of</strong> any New York City season will be posted<br />

four (4) weeks prior to the opening <strong>of</strong> the season. For domestic tours, the Employer shall make<br />

best efforts to have complete casting and programming for first two (2) weeks <strong>of</strong> tour posted two<br />

(2) weeks prior to opening. It is understood that casting and programming remain subject to<br />

change after such posting.<br />

3. If the Employer does not abide by the foregoing 1 and 2 above, or any part<br />

there<strong>of</strong>, the Artist shall be exonerated for any lateness or missing <strong>of</strong> rehearsals occasioned<br />

thereby.<br />

4. The program <strong>of</strong> dance pieces, including casts, to be performed in the<br />

following week shall be posted on the bulletin board one (1) week in advance. Any change in<br />

casts following such posting shall be made by the Employer upon personal notification to each<br />

Artist involved twenty-four (24) hours in advance <strong>of</strong> performance, except in the case <strong>of</strong><br />

emergency.<br />

5. The Employer shall use best efforts to ensure that anyone designated as a<br />

performer or cover is notified <strong>of</strong> his/her part or cover designation during the first Rehearsal<br />

Week <strong>of</strong> that dance piece.<br />

6. For a performance, the Employer must have listed in the program<br />

distributed to the audience or on a reader board in the main lobby, or have announced to the<br />

audience, the names <strong>of</strong> all <strong>Artists</strong> who perform (other than “the company”) as designated by the<br />

Artistic Director.<br />
