Late Registration<br />

All dates specified in the academic calendar must be strictly adhered to. The calendar is posted well in<br />

advance of each semester. It is the students’ responsibility to be informed of the dates for registration,<br />

examinations, etc. A late registration fee of AED 400/- per course is levied upon students who fail to<br />

register for courses at the designated time.<br />

Add/Drop<br />

Schedule revision (add/drop) may be made during the first week of classes of the specific semester.<br />

Students who drop courses during the first week of the semester will receive a full refund of tuition<br />

for that course.<br />

Refund Policy<br />

Refund on Withdrawal<br />

Students who pay tuition and fees for any term and who subsequently cancel their registration through<br />

the Office of Admissions and Registration prior to the first day of classes for that semester as<br />

specified in the academic calendar are entitled to a full refund of their tuition fees. Students who<br />

officially <strong>with</strong>draw from the university after the classes begin may be eligible for a partial refund of<br />

tuition fees. The applicable refund is based upon the date of official <strong>with</strong>drawal. Application for<br />

<strong>with</strong>drawal must be made to the Office of Admissions and Registration. Withdrawals by mail are<br />

effective on the date of receipt of the correspondence.<br />

The university reserves the right to deduct any outstanding financial obligations from the refund. No<br />

refund will be made to students who leave the university <strong>with</strong>out officially <strong>with</strong>drawing. Tuition fees<br />

will be refunded in accordance <strong>with</strong> the following schedule, provided that the student officially<br />

<strong>with</strong>draws from the <strong>University</strong>.<br />

Fall and Spring Semesters<br />

Prior to the first class day: 100% minus the Registration Fee<br />

During the first week: 80%<br />

During the second week: 60%<br />

After the second week: None<br />

Summer Sessions<br />

Prior to the first class day: 100% minus the Registration Fee<br />

During the first week: 50%<br />

After the first week: None<br />

Class days are counted from the first day of the commencement of classes at the university as<br />

indicated in the academic calendar for that semester. The refund is not made immediately upon official<br />

<strong>with</strong>drawal. Refunds will be processed after completion of all registration for that semester. A check<br />

will be mailed to the student’s officially listed address.<br />

Tuition and fees of students who postpone their date of admission until the following semester or<br />

<strong>with</strong>draw from the program will be transferred to the next semester. Refunds of fees will be made<br />

only to those students who terminate their studies at the university <strong>with</strong> the understanding that they<br />

will not seek to register for courses in the future. A completed <strong>with</strong>drawal form must be filed <strong>with</strong> the<br />

Office of Admissions and Registration. The forms for <strong>with</strong>drawal may be obtained from the Office of<br />

Admissions and Registration.<br />
