CAPITAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
AN EVENING WITH FRANK
The Fundraising Dinner with Frank McKenna
as the keynote speaker will take place on
Thursday, June 27 in the Parish Center. A 3
course turkey dinner will be served for the
price of $100 per person ($75 tax receipt will be issued).
Doors open at 6pm and dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. Tickets
are available at the Chatham and Newcastle Petro-Can’s,
from committee members or the Parish Office. The Capital
Campaign Committee encourages your participation in this
event and thanks those who have given charitable donations
or pledged to make contributions on a regular basis.
St. Michael’s CWL
Is offering a scholarship to any child or grandchild
of a CWL member graduating in June 2013. Application
forms have been placed at JMH & MVSH.
Deadline is June 7.
June 13th meeting will begin with Mass at 4:00 pm followed by
Roast Beef Dinner at 5:00 pm. The cost of the dinner is $17.00.
Please put money in collection or drop off at the Parish Office by
Monday June 10th.

" Pictures with the Pirates" Everyone is invited to have their
picture taken with the Pirates of Halifax on June 1st from 11-4pm.
The cost is $10 a picture and the picture will be printed on site.
"Dinner with the Pirates of Halifax" private "dinner theater"
style gourmet dinner at O'Donaghues Irish Pub in Chatham on
June 1st. In honor of the tall ship celebration, It is requested that
ticket holders dress as a pirate or wench as they join the "Pirates
of Halifax", in what is sure to be an entertaining evening full of
delicious, specially prepared gourmet food, wine or finest ale,
Pirate tales from the Miramichi, Random Floggings, Prisoner questionings,
and much more!!! Ticket prices are $100 and all proceeds
go to support Miramichi Youth House !!!! call 624-9909 for
tickets or for more information. A tax receipt will be issued for
every ticket purchased.
Sing into Summer - A Dessert Concert, hosted by the Malaika
Women’s Choir, will be held Sunday, May 26 at the United Church
Center, 556 King George Hwy., beginning at 7 PM. On stage, St.
James and St. John United Church Choir, Donna and Tyrone Hubbard,
Miramichi Men of Harmony, Malaika Women’s Choir and a
special dance number by Amy Shaddick and Friends. Tickets are
$15 each and include your choice of a delicious homemade dessert
and tea/coffee. Pick up your tickets today at Breatheasy
Services or the Church Center. Proceeds will be donated to the
Miramichi Food Bank.
All seniors are welcomed on May 29, 2013 from 1:30 - 3:00
p.m.at St. Andrew's United Church for a "Spring Fling". There will
be music, refreshements an a special speaker giving a talk on
"Safety In The Home." We are also encouraging you to bring a
plant for our "Planet Swap."
Diocesan News
Please be advised that the Diocesan Pastoral Plan is now available
on our Diocesan Website (www.dioceseofsaintjohn.org). We
encourage Parish Council Members, as well as all parishioners, to
access the Plan in view of its implementation at the local level.

Our Church Maintenance Committee is looking for 2 sections of pipe
scaffolding, supports and walks to help with repair work. If any of our
parishioners would like to donate this item please contact the office at
