SUPER DRAW TICKETS<br />

The Super Draw tickets are now available in the parish office for<br />

$20.00. The draw day is Sunday June 16, 2013.<br />

ST. PATRICK’S DAY CONCERT<br />

The concert will be held on March 10, 2013. To help us prepare,<br />

donations for the basket can now be left at the Parish Office. We<br />

will also be needing fudge to sell at the concert.<br />

Income tax receipts<br />

The income tax receipts for 2012 will be available in the Bishop<br />

Roger’s Chapel (Vestry) following each of the weekend Masses.<br />

Religious education<br />

Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be celebrated on<br />

Capital Fundraising Campaign<br />

The Canadian government will soon be eliminating the penny<br />

from the coinage system and are encouraging their collection<br />

as fund raising ventures. The Capital Campaign Committee has<br />

set up a coin box inside the main entrance of the <strong>Basilica</strong>. We<br />

are asking parishioners to collect their pennies and<br />

any other spare change to donate to this effort.<br />

The Capital Campaign Committee appreciates your<br />

participation in this fundraiser and remember ...<br />

every penny counts towards “Building Our Future”!<br />

Regional News<br />

Penny sale at <strong>St</strong>. Mary’s Parish Center, Newcastle, Sunday<br />

February 17th at 2:00 pm. Canteen available.<br />

“our beginnings” is having the next meeting on February 20th<br />

at 7:oo pm at the Fr. Morriscy Hall. This meeting is to help<br />

with planning the celebration of the commemoration of the<br />

200th anniversary of the installation of the first permanent<br />

English-speaking Catholic priest in Miramichi. The celebration<br />

will take place next July 13 & 14. Monthly meetings are held<br />

on the second Wednesday unless otherwise advertised. We<br />

look forward to working with all parishes in Miramichi to<br />

make this event a memorable one.<br />

CATHOLICISM<br />

Beginning Jan.16 th to March 20 th every Wednesday’s at 2 pm<br />

the Newcastle Knights of Columbus will advance Pope Benedict<br />

XVI call for “The New Evangelization” and the “Year of<br />

Faith,” by showing a series of video’s on the spiritual, moral<br />

and intellectual riches of Catholicism and the Catholic World.<br />

"Double L Productions" presents the award-winning play by<br />

Nora Ephron: "Love, Loss and What I Wore" on Feb. 22nd,<br />

23rd, and 24th at 7:30 p.m. at <strong>St</strong>. Andrew's United Church<br />

(Chatham). The play features Nancy Donald, Diane Donovan,<br />

Maggie Dace Hollis, Karen Howe and Judy Losier. Tickets are<br />

LENTEN SERVICES 2013:<br />

The Chatham and Area Ministerial Association will once again<br />

host Ecumenical Noon Lenten Services beginning on Ash<br />

Wednesday, February 13, 2013 and continuing each Wednesday<br />

up to March 27, 2013. The time for the services is 12:15<br />

to 12:45 p.m., followed by a lunch, and the host church is Wellington<br />

<strong>St</strong>reet Baptist. The suggested donation for lunch is $3<br />

and proceeds from the lunches will be donated to the Miramichi<br />

Community Food Bank.
