Poštovani,<br />
sa zadovoljstvom vam predstavljamo prvi nacionalni<br />
katalog <strong>rur</strong>alnog turizma Republike Hrvatske koji su<br />
izradili Hrvatska gospodarska komora i Ministarstvo<br />
turizma. Katalog kvalitetno i sveobuhvatno predstavlja<br />
<strong>rur</strong>alni <strong>turizam</strong> domaćem i stranom turističkom<br />
tržištu.<br />
Glavni su strateški ciljevi hrvatskoga turizma u <strong>rur</strong>alnom<br />
području, prije svega, ravnomjerni regionalni razvoj, samozapošljavanje<br />
i motiviranje mladih za ostanak na selu. Pri tome je<br />
<strong>rur</strong>alni <strong>turizam</strong> značajan čimbenik u aktivaciji i održivom razvoju<br />
<strong>rur</strong>alnih područja koji pomaže očuvanju lokalnog identiteta, tradicije<br />
i običaja, štiti okoliš, jača autohtonu, tradicijsku i ekološku<br />
proizvodnju te pomaže razvoju <strong>rur</strong>alnih krajeva na osnovi održivoga<br />
razvoja.<br />
U nastojanju pridržavanja preporuka UNWTO-a i Strategije razvoja<br />
turizma Hrvatske do 2020. godine u kojima se navode<br />
najvažnije karakteristike održivog turizma: optimalna upotreba<br />
resursa iz okoliša, poštovanje društvenih i kulturnih značajki zajednice<br />
domaćina uz očuvanje postojeće graditeljske i kulturne<br />
baštine i osiguranje dugoročne ekonomske održivosti svih interesnih<br />
skupina društva, Republika Hrvatska ima dobre preduvjete<br />
za razvijanje <strong>rur</strong>alnog turizma.<br />
S obzirom na prirodnu i kulturno-povijesnu raznolikost regija,<br />
bogatu resursnu osnovu turističkih atrakcija, očuvani okoliš te<br />
više od 160 tisuća upisanih poljoprivrednih gospodarstava, a tako<br />
i plasiranja bogate ponude za različite segmente potražnje na turističkom<br />
tržištu razvojem posebnih oblika turizma povezanih s<br />
<strong>rur</strong>alnim prostorom, <strong>rur</strong>alni je <strong>turizam</strong> značajno potencijalno turističko<br />
područje jer se u ovom dijelu ponude pružaju velike mogućnosti<br />
za produljenje turističke sezone i davanje nove kvalitete<br />
ukupnom hrvatskom turizmu.<br />
Ladies and Gentlemen,<br />
It is with great pleasure that we present the First<br />
National Catalogue of Rural Tourism in Croatia,<br />
compiled jointly by the Croatian Chamber of Economy<br />
and the Ministry of Tourism. The Catalogue is<br />
a comprehensive presentation of <strong>rur</strong>al tourism for<br />
the domestic and foreign tourism markets.<br />
The main strategic goals of Croatian tourism in <strong>rur</strong>al<br />
areas, above all, are uniform regional development, self-employment<br />
and motiving young people to remain in <strong>rur</strong>al areas. Rural<br />
tourism is a significant factor in activating sustainable development<br />
of <strong>rur</strong>al areas, which facilitates the preservation of the local<br />
identity, traditions and customs, conserving the environment,<br />
strengthening the autochthonous, traditional and organic production<br />
of goods, and stimulating the development of <strong>rur</strong>al areas<br />
on a sustainable basis.<br />
In an effort to follow the recommendations of the UNWTO and<br />
the Croatian Tourism Development Strategy to 2020, which list<br />
the most important characteristics of sustainable tourism: optimal<br />
use of environmental resources, respecting the social and<br />
cultural characteristics of the host community, preserving the<br />
existing architectural and cultural heritage, and ensuring longterm<br />
economic sustainability of all interest groups in society, the<br />
Republic of Croatia has excellent conditions in place to develop<br />
its <strong>rur</strong>al tourism.<br />
Rural tourism has significant potential with regard to the natural,<br />
cultural and historical diversity of the region, the wealth of resource-based<br />
tourism attractions, a conserved environment, and<br />
more than 160 thousand registered farms, and also through the<br />
placement of a wide selection of products for various demand<br />
segments on the tourism market through the development of<br />
specific forms of tourism associated with <strong>rur</strong>al areas. Rural tourism<br />
offers great opportunities within these areas to extend the<br />
tourism season and to bring new quality to Croatia’s tourism as<br />
a whole.<br />
