The BISTRA EDUCATIONAL TRAIL acquaints visitors with the natural, geological, cultural and ecological features and natural phenomena of
the northern part of Mt. Medvednica.
MEDVEDGRAD – one of the best preserved medieval fortresses in Croatia has changed many owners over the course of history, including the
infamous Black Queen. Throughout the year, the fortress is a spectacular venue for cultural and tourism events, such as Medvedgrad Musical
Evenings, Zagreb Fantastic Film Festival, Medieval days on Medvednica and many theater performances.
VETERNICA CAVE – found in the southwestern part of Mt. Medvednica. Part of the cave has been equipped for visitors, and shows the geomorphological
phenomenon that are rarely seen in classically equipped caves.
ZRINSKI MINE – situated near the Grafičar mountain lodge. This was a lead and zinc ore mine. Today, the mine is open for visitors and is an ideal
way to get to know the mysteries of the Mt. Medvednica underground.
MARY PILGRIMAGE ROUTE – The Mary Pilgrimage Route in the area of Medvednica Nature Park is part of a separate network of Mary Routes
leading to Croatia’s largest shrine to Our Lady, Marija Bistrica.

POUČNA STAZA KNEŽEVA U ARHEOLOŠKOME PARKU U BUDINJAKU – dužine 4,2 km započinje u žumberačkom naselju Budinjak i predstavlja
lokalitet na kojem je život bujao od 10. – 6. stoljeća prije nove ere. Kuriozitet staze su vrijedni pogrebni ostaci, među kojima i brončana kaciga
“kneza”. Kao rijedak sačuvan primjer jedne vrste stariježeljeznodobnih kaciga ta je kaciga dobila ime “tip Budinjak”.
POUČNA STAZA ŽUMBERAČKI ARHEOLOŠKI PUT dužine 53 km započinje u Grdanjcima, a završava u Sošicama i povezuje nalazišta iz raznih
razdoblja bogate kulturno-povijesne priče prostora Parka.
POUČNA STAZA GDJE VOĆE ZRI dužine 2 km nalazi se u Loviću Prekriškom, malom selu iznad mjesta Vivodina, a prolazi kroz 10 poučnih
točaka na kojima je ispričana priča kako voćnjak nije samo mjesto gdje čovjek uzgaja voće, već i dom mnogobrojnih malih životinja.
PJEŠAČKA STAZA PUT KRALJICE BUKVE dužine 35 km nazvana je po jedinstvenom primjerku bukve, besprijekorno ravnog stabla koje raste
kod Blaževog brda. Staza vodi od Sošica do Slanog Dola (sjedište Parka i infocentar), može se uživati u očuvanoj prirodi i vidjeti rijetke i zaštićene
biljke.
VRANJAČKI SLAP jedan je od dva prelijepa slapa u kanjonu rječice Slapnice, optočen je sedrom – “živom” stijenom koja i danas nastaje. Nedaleko
ovog slapa je i prelijepi SLAP BRISALO te Draganov mlin-vodenica.
KUPČINA ŽUMBERAČKA selo je očuvane tradicionalne arhitekture u kojem se nalazi interesantna crkvica sv. Roka sa zvonikom na preslicu, a u
selu se mogu kupiti ili uloviti svježe pastrve iz ribnjaka Vrabac.
STARI MLINOVI – mlinovi su uspomena na tradicionalnu proizvodnju brašna, nekad ih je bilo skoro 200-tinjak, a danas ih je tek nekoliko očuvanih.
Jedan od njih je Mlin obitelji Medven na rječici Kupčini nedaleko Krašića u Medvenovoj i Ćunkovoj Dragi.

TRAIL OF KNIGHTS EDUCATIONAL TRAILS, BUDINJAK ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK – length of 4.2 km, begins at the village of Budinjak. This
was a lively and bustling settlement from the 10 th – 6 th century BC. A distinctive feature of the trail are the valuable burial remains; in the
remains of a ‘knight’ and ‘lady’ from one tumulus, in addition to the discovery of several bronze helmets. Today, the ‘Budinjak’ type helmet
is well known and recognised among European archaeologists.
ŽUMBERAK ARCHAEOLOGICAL TRAIL, with a length of 53 km, begins in Grdanjci and ends in Sošice, and connects the find sites from
various periods of the rich cultural and historical legacy of the park area.
WHERE FRUIT MATURES EDUCATIONAL TRAIL, with a length of 2 km is found in Lović Prekriški, a small village just above the settlement
of Vivodina. The trail passes through 10 educational points that tells the story of the orchard, not only as a place where humans grow fruit,
but also as a home for numerous small animals.
QUEEN BEECH WALKING TRAIL, with a length of 35 km was named after the magnificent and impeccable straight beech tree that grows
near the Blaževo brdo hill. The trail runs from Sošice to Slani Dol (park seat and info centre). Enjoy the pristine nature here, and view many
rare and protected plant species.
VRANJAČKI SLAP is one of two beautiful waterfalls in the canyon of the Slapnica stream. It is set in travertine, ‘live’ rock that still continues
to be formed to this day. Near this waterfall, visit the beautiful BRISALO SLAP waterfall and the Draganov water mill.
KUPČINA ŽUMBERAČKA is a village with preserved traditional architecture, including the interesting Chapel of St. Rocco with its unique
belfry. In the village, you can catch or buy fresh trout from the Vrabac fish farm.
OLD WATER MILLS – the mills are mementos of the traditional way of milling flour. Once there were some 200 mills here, while today only
a handful remain. One of them is the Medven family mill on the Kupčina River near Krašić in Medvenova and Ćunkova Draga.
