Vastu Shastra is an inquisitive science of architecture which encapsulates the forces
that act upon a given space through the flow of positive energy. Vastu refers to ‘abode’
or mansion and Shastra or Vidya means science or knowledge. Vastu Vidya is the sacred
holistic science pertaining to designing and building of houses. The principles of Vastu have
been derived from Sthapathya Veda, one of the ancient sacred books in Hinduism.
Vastu is a complete understanding of direction,
geography, topography, environment and
physics. Vastu is not a religion, it’s a science of
setting the things correctly and balance the
five elements that is Earth, fire, water, space,
and air to have the maximum benefit out of
life. Vastu dosh can be corrected through the
changes in the rooms, through the interiors of
the house, by changing the placements, by using
regulators or using some charged objects. Vastu
Shastra unifies the science, art, astronomy and
astrology, it can also be said as an ancient mystic
science for designing and building. Vastu Shastra
is an ancient building science which covers the
philosophy and theory of Architectural works
to construct any building.
Vastushastra is based on various natural
energies, which are available free cost in the
atmosphere. Solar Energy from Sun, Lunar
Energy from Moon, Earth Energy, Sky Energy,
Electric Energy, Magnetic Energy, Thermal
Energy, Wind Energy, Light Energy and Cosmic
Energy. Utilization of these energies gives
pleasure, peace, prosperity, money, etc in our
life. There are three forces in action to create
harmony. Wind, water and fire or, vaayu, jal and
Agni. If these forces are kept in their appropriate
places, then there will be no disturbance.
