was . . .Terrific! . . . Exceptional!
. . . A Step Back in Time!
A Mountaintop!
Sharing in retreat with friends and family
into new depths of fellowship and
understanding! Laughing and sharing,
growing close to one another and God!
Perfect weather, bus great with no mishaps
along the way! We were truly
blessed, EXCEPT for an occasional
spy in the night, Gage?, and the ladies
staying up til the wee hours of
the night. Our kids were great as
they sang camp songs all the way to
Illinois and back. Seeing them always
together, whether on the rock
wall or in the kitchen eating. Their
laughter, compassion and inclusiveness,
their attitudes of sharing, and
their testimonies . . Outstanding!
Walking onto the cobblestone
streets from our temporary
housing in the Nauvoo House, we felt
many things. Cobblestone brick roads
on the early morning, our community
awoke! History behind us, the future
ahead of us! All awakening before
us!! There was a real awareness of
sacrifices made by those early
saints and offering much for us today.
The mountain top experience
had to be at our baptismal service
in the Nauvoo Church as Carter
Cole made his commitment to be
baptized! What an experience to
share together in that setting! We
truly felt blessed in so many ways
as we came to the end of our
week-end together. Strengthened,
renewed with a greater commitment
to our Lord and his cause.

ADULT CHOIR__I know that summer
is a busy time for everyone but
we need to get started back with
choir. I have some new music that I
want to hear you sing. I want us to
begin to be a semi-regular part of
our worship as a group. Bring your
rested voices and lets begin to exercise
them Sunday evening June
4th at 7 pm. I look forward to seeing all of you
and would encourage you to invite all your singing
friends to join us.

Youth learn about “frogs” at
Overnight__ Memorial Day Weekend
found our youth and parents at
Chuck & Kara Cole farm for a full blown overnight
with 90 degree weather, girls all piled in one
tent and guys in another, sleeping in sleeping
bags on
the hard floor of their tents, if you call that sleeping!
Chiggers and skeeters, and croaking frogs that “moo”
in the night! Sounds simply awful doesn’t it? They said
it was GREAT! Can you believe!
Everyone had such a great time making new friends,
sharing fellowship and good times with their pals! Volleyball,
badminton, paddle boat, and campfire on this
great fire pit, were just a few of the activities everyone
enjoyed! Every sunburn or itch the next morning only
reminds them of good times had last week-end with
friends and their Lord. Thanks Jeff and Jenny Kramer
for offering opportunities like this for our kids to be
able to share, express and experience, in such an uplifting
setting! THANKS Coles, for sharing your home
making it all possible!

Family Nights Are Terrific!
Our last family night was a Birthday Celebration!
Definitely worth our CELEBRATION as a
large group shared Family Night and “another taco
please”! That was all we heard as Kim and Stephanie
prepared and served a wonderful taco buffet
filled to capacity! What a hit! Great fun and fellowship!
CHILDREN’S CHOIR has offered such special moments
over the past few months and we look forward
to Patty leading them into singing real soon!
Children touch the heart and soul of worship!
TRANSFERRED IN . . . Tom and Leona Stout and
little boy, Isaac, have transferred into our congregation
recently. Tom has shared with our youth in
the past and now so nice for he and his family to
fellowship with us again! Welcome!
INQUIRERS CLASS is
beginning soon for all those searching to
know more about the church and its teachings in the
path of Christ. Watch bulletin for more information
soon to appear.
