The Senior Center also operates a Meals on Wheels program throughout<br />

the <strong>Township</strong>. This program is intended for those who cannot get to the<br />

Center for their meals. For more information on this program or to volunteer<br />

to be a driver, please call Janet Espenshade at 469-1099.<br />

Activities are planned for each day but are subject to change. Plan a day<br />

or two or three a week and join us for fun and food!<br />

The Pavilion, which is directly across from the entrance to the parking<br />

lot, has eight picnic tables, two charcoal grills and electric. Restrooms<br />

are adjacent.<br />

The Picnic Shelter, which is located behind the tennis courts, has eight<br />

Octagon tables (2 are handicap accessible, 1 is a serving table) and one<br />

charcoal grill. There is no electric at the Picnic Shelter and you must<br />

use the restrooms adjacent to the Pavilion.<br />

The <strong>Township</strong> Park has activities for every member of the family. Enjoy<br />

the fitness/walking trail, basketball court, tennis courts, multipurpose<br />

court (used for rollerblading and such) and playground equipment.<br />

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION<br />

The One-Room Schoolhouse Alumni Association of<br />

<strong>East</strong> <strong>Hanover</strong> <strong>Township</strong>, Dauphin County, meets annually<br />

on the second Sunday in June. This year the reunion meeting will<br />

be on June 12, 2011 at the Municipal Building at 2:00 p.m; however,<br />

doors are open at 1:00 p.m. for socializing and refreshments.<br />

Donations of school pictures, old lunch kettles, old school books (history,<br />

geography, reading and arithmetic), old slates and anything pertaining to<br />

a one-room schoolhouse and fixtures for the interior of the building are<br />

still being accepted. If you are interested in contributing to this project,<br />

please contact Jane Freet at 533-8917.<br />
