General
SBS 7500D is the first of the 150 B9TL / Wt due during 2010/1. This vehicle was fully built in Northern Ireland, the
remainder will be assembled in Singapore. An additional 150 have been ordered for delivery in 2011/2.
The Sunlong vehicles are hybrids. They also see the re-use of registrations.
Additional vehicles ordered are 300 Mercedes-Benz Citaro. 150 of each will be delivered in 2011 and 2012.
SLOVENIA
Ljubljana is one of Europe’s smaller capital cities and has the feel more of provincial Austria than the former
Yugoslavia. Trams ran there until 1958 and trolleybuses until 1971 but now public transport is provided by the
buses of Ljubljanski Potniški Promet d.o.o. (LPP), a limited company owned by the municipality. An LPP
subsidiary - BUS, Medkrajevni Potniški Promet d.o.o. - provides services into the adjoining countryside. BUS
vehicles are in a modified version of the LPP white / yellow / green livery and are numbered up from 500.
The listing below is derived from a fleetlist dated mid 2009 and includes some earlier vehicles since withdrawn, as
well as the most recent deliveries, Turkish-built MB Conecto (the latest version that looks like the Citaro) 165-9
(rigids) and 223-47 (artics). Five Kutsenits Hydra City II/III Hybrids are on order. Bodybuilder Avtomontaža was
based in Ljubljana itself and had a long association with MAN, building vehicles both for Yugoslavia and
elsewhere. The plant closed in 2002 after a final spell under the control of Volvo.
