Like everyone, I’ve made lots of mistakes in my<br />
life. One of the biggest was letting alcohol and<br />
crystal meth consume me for a time. It led me<br />
into unsuccessful relationships, homelessness,<br />
and even ignoring my HIV medication therapy,<br />
causing me to lose one of my eyes. With the<br />
help of a counselor at Desert AIDS Project, I’m<br />
in recovery and am proud of my accomplishments<br />
at College of the Desert. I may have lost an eye...<br />
but I’ve never seen more clearly than I do today.<br />
