Satan
A bum kid came to me
on my way home.
Asking for a coin or two
or something to eat.
Stuck to me like a leech,
insisting, begging, imploring.
I yelled at him and he left.
I didn’t give a penny away.
Thank you Mr. Satan!
Tomorrow
Thinking of tomorrow
That is another borrow
Anxious to know what it would be
Whether it would be in debris?
Filled with consternation
Every cell with frustration
Hope still crosses over
But always ends in nowhere
Tired of being rejected
My whole life is being affected.
World
No more faith!
Hope is dead.
No more sanguinity
they are all cynical.
No more equanimity,
The deceased would like to be streakers.
They see satiety of evils
with no remission.
Graves are trembling,
people eschew to see.
A surge of shouts,
People sham deafness.
Tyrannies abound,
folks’ ignorance.
Aversion to change,
I am in wonder!
What is the world coming to?
Advice
He thought he was bold
with a knife in hold.
On the verge of madness
too much in sadness
wanted to avenge
though hated to revenge.
But felt it an urge
it was on the verge.
Angrily on the way to attack
luckily ran into a black.
Asking him what he is up to
though he could construe.
Stopped him and said
“Don’t do that!”
“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind!”
