broad leaf weeds. (Table 1). The three pound rate plots, on<br />

the other hand, produced a yield significantly better than the<br />

control plots.. The plots, reeeivitlg the six pound rate produced<br />

y1elds which were no~ significantly better than the plots<br />

'¥here the three pound rate had been applied (Table 1).' The<br />

·control of grasses was not as satisfactory at either rate as<br />

the control of broadleaf- weeds,. Although there waa alight<br />

da_ge to theaoybean plants at 'emergence with both rates the<br />

damage did not affect the stand or yield.<br />

, Summary<br />

Five years of tests and field observations throughout the<br />

state of Delaware indicate that DNBPat the rate of 3 lbs./A.<br />

is satisfactory for controlling broad leaf weeds in soybeans<br />

where a mild infestation occurs. Where broadleaf weeds are a<br />
