141. Results - .l2.22 Table 2 shows the treatments, the weeding dates. and the effects on the three ericaceous plants at' the end of the first season. The check plots needed weeding six times during the season. The use of herbicides reduced the number of weedings to two or three. except that plots receiving slmazine needed only one weeding for the season. Stand counts and height mea8ure~nt8were made September 25, 1959. No differences we~e found for Taxus and Juniperus. The results for the ericaceous plants are shown in Table 3. Using survival counts and plant height as criteria of injury. EPTCand amiben were the most injurious chemicals.
