SOLUTIONS
EVERYWHERE YOU NEED TO BE
AHEAD OF THE PACK
When Pratt & Whitney Canada’s first turboprop engine entered the
market back in the early 1960s, it stimulated the growth of a new
generation of helicopters. Today, we lead the turboshaft market in
both products and customer support, and we continue to invest
in programs for next-generation markets. Our engines set new
standards for performance, reliability and operating economics to
keep you where you need to be. Ahead of the pack, with P&WC.
AHEAD OF THE CURVE
From the first PT6 to our latest powerplants, you can trace a straight
line along the innovation path at P&WC. And we will continue to drive
the research that will ensure the industry’s most dependable, most
efficient aircraft engines with the best power-to-weight ratios, backed
by customer support that consistently delivers product performance,
speed and simplicity. It’s a matter of commitment to keeping
customers with demanding mission profiles ahead of the curve.
AROUND THE CLOCK, AROUND THE WORLD
We never forget that your engine has our name on it. So we work to
keep your assets flying efficiently and reliably. With over 30 P&WCowned
PT6B
POWERFUL AND VERSATILE
Derived from P&WC’s famous PT6, the most popular and proven powerplant
in its class worldwide, the PT6B benefits from more than 380 million hours of PT6
service in various operational and environmental conditions and boasts the best to-weight ratio in its class. Designed for single and twin-engine helicopters the PT6 has grown from
power-
500 to 2,000 shp, with each successive model incorporating the latest technological advancements.
PT6C
FOR HIGH-POWERED PERFORMANCE
Rated from 1,679 shp to 1,940 shp, the PT6C provides the
best power-to-weight ratio in its engine class and has one
of the lowest maintenance costs and emissions levels in the
industry. This state-of-the-art engine redefines the medium helicopter category and sets new
levels for operational and performance standards.
PT6T
A LEGEND IN THE WORLD
OF HELICOPTERS
Another derivative of the mighty PT6, the renowned
PT6T Twin-Pac ® is unmatched for its service
record. Its success has been built largely on its versatility and dependability, from the fi rst,
1,800 shp PT6T-3 introduced in 1970 to today’s 2,243 shp PT6T-9, with a digital electronic
control, modular design and a layout that allows operators to do heavy maintenance in the
fi eld whenever required.
PT6C-67E
THE LATEST GENERATION PT6
The PT6C-67E engine builds on the success of the PT6C-67C engine
incorporating all lessons learned plus the latest technology to provide durability and
reliable performance. Equipped with the latest technology dual-channel FADEC control system to
optimize pilot workload, the PT6C-67E also includes new technologies to provide reliable starting
with excellent emissions, especially low NOx levels, and very low smoke. Also in keeping with
P&WC’s engine manufacturing philosophy, the PT6C-67E is designed and manufactured without
the use of materials of concern such as cadmium and chromium.
PW200
CHOICE OF THE LIGHT TWIN
From the start of production in the early 1990s, the PW200
became the world’s leading powerplant for light twin
helicopters. With 621 to 735 shp take-off power, it is well
suited for utility, EMS, offshore, corporate, law-enforcement and paramilitary roles. Fully
functional and operable in all flight conditions, it features a digital Electronic Engine Control
(EEC) with full hydro-mechanical backup. The simplicity of its modular design, with only
three major rotating components, assures easy maintenance access. And its low specifi c
fuel consumption, lightweight materials and a compact architecture further enhance its
impressive thermodynamic performance.
PW210
SHAPING A NEW GENERATION
OF HELICOPTERS
Specifically designed for multi-role demands of the helicopter
market, the PW210 sets the stage for the new family of helicopter
engines in the 1,000 shp class, delivering a wide-range of power along with legendary P&WC
standards of reliability and durability. Equipped with the latest technology dual-chanel FADEC
control system to optimize pilot workload and leveraging proven advanced technologies from
the entire family of P&WC engines, the PW210 significantly reduces ownership cost and
delivers the best value to our customers, including the highest power-to-weight ratio and
lowest fuel burn in this market, which translates into payload and range benefits for single
and intermediate-to-medium twin helicopters in this class.
