Your factory inductive-type ignition is known for its long burn time, but not
necessarily its high energy. Capacitive discharge (CD) ignitions are known for
their high energy, but not long burn time. Pertronix has combined the two with
its "Second Strike" ignition supplement that uses your stock ignition as the
primary spark producer and follows it with a second spark, anywhere from
2-18 crank degrees later, from its "Second Strike" CD box. This assures you
of complete burning of the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber. And it
means you can get more power, better combustion efficiency and reduced
plug fouling. The "Second Strike" also has a built-in rev limiter that randomly
cuts out a spark from different cylinders to reduce plug fouling when you over
rev your engine. This ignition supplement works with most OEM and
aftermarket non-CD ignitions and is compatible with most modern tachs
without an interface.

The Flame-Thrower billet distributor uses the Ignitor II
electronic module for a more powerful spark and more
stable timing throughout the RPM range.
The Flame-Thrower distributor is compatible with
most coils and comes with a high dielectric strength
cap with brass terminals and a premium rotor.
Completely adjustable with a mechanical advance
limiter and additional advance springs for a custom
curve.
