The Milyt ® solid HPL sheet is applicable in different ways. Think about cladding
a dormer, façades and cladding a unit or mobile cafeteria.
Roof- edge panels
The roof and gutter of your house are familiar worries when you talk about
maintenance. The wooden starters which protect and embellish your gutter
also require loads of maintenance and painting.
By applying the low maintenance Milyt ® as roof- edge panels / gutter
protection, you will save yourself loads of work.
Milyt ® is on stock and directly available in different colours. We can deliver
customized sheets under special conditions for bigger projects.
Milyt® solid HPL
The core of Milyt ® solid HPL (High Pressured Laminated) sheets is made out
of thermo-set synthetics and resins. Besides that, the sheets are hardened with
different layers of celluloses which make the sheets extraordinary strong.
The top layer is made of an acrylate base, which makes the plate resistant
to all weather types. The Milyt ® panels are versatile applicable and especially
sustainable, because of it’s unique properties. Perfect for new construction,
renovation in housing construction and utility- construction.

There’s a 10 year production guarantee given for the Milyt,
as in freedom of delimitation, colour-density and impact
resistance. Because these panels have been applied for
over 10 years, they have proved their good quality.
Milyt specifications
There are over 100 décors available in different sizes and
thicknesses, The standard available size is:
• White, cream and anthracite 1300 x 3050 x 6 mm.
(accommodated with a 2-sided décor)
• Green and blue 1220 x 3050 x 6 mm.
(accommodated with a 2-sided décor)
Storage
The sheets must be stored horizontally and fully
supported. When horizontal storage is not possible,
the sheets must be layed in a 60 – 70˚ angle where the
whole surface is supported. Cover the sheets for
protection against water and sunlight. The piled pallets
may carry a maximum weight of 2000 kg.
Always avoid any moisture getting in between the sheets
and the cover foil. Do not slide the sheets over each other.

Cultivation
Sawing on a fixed sawing-table or panel saw. The Building
trade has sawing blades with hard-metal teeth which are
especially for sawing HPL solid sheets. Ask your supplier.
Recommended sawing speed of the circular saw is 50- 100
meters a minute. Troughput 15-30 meters a minute. Using
a so called pre-zipper will give the best results.
Assembly
Milyt can be mounted as follows:
Screwed to a wooden framework, vertically middle to
middle maximum of 60 cm, dimension 4,8x38 Stainless
steel A2, section of drilling hole: 8mm, to allow the sheet
to operate. On a framework of aluminum, use self-tapping
screws of stainless steel or otherwise stainless steel rivets.
During sawing, pay attention to:
• make sure the blade is sharpened
• Place the sight-side of the sheet upwards
• Pay attention to the height of the blade
• Press the milyt sheet towards the sawing blade
• Using a band saw is not recommended
When using a jigsaw with an upward sawing direction,
point the sight side of the sheet down. First drill inner
corners to round the corners in order to prevent from
cracking. For drilling, you can use HSS drills with a 60-80˚
angle. Always pay attention to the number of revolutions
because the sheet can become overheated.
To finish the edges, Milyt can be milled, sand, filed or
planed.
Instead of using screws, Milyt can also be glued to wood
or aluminum. You can get special types of glu at the
building trade. Glue surfaces should always be dry, clean
and where possible, treated with a primer. Please mind,
there has to be a width of 10mm for joints.
The use of a joint strip will give protection against moisture.
The rear of the Milyt and the wooden frame should be
well ventilated at all times. This makes it necessary to keep
a 20mm ventilation cavity.
Screw holes must have a minimum distance to the edge of
20mm. With facades, the TBG1990 and NEN 6702 should
always be observed.
