Numbers and volume<br />

The total <strong>concrete</strong> volume <strong>for</strong> this project was 12,000m 3 , with an<br />

average <strong>concrete</strong> production <strong>of</strong> 60m 3 per day. <strong>Production</strong> <strong>of</strong> the<br />

precast <strong>concrete</strong> <strong>elements</strong> included 203 pre-stressed T-beams, each<br />

measuring 24 metres in length and weighing 57 metric tonnes.<br />

Pre-stressing was carried out on site by an international specialist<br />

subcontractor.<br />

<strong>BAM</strong> Indonesia’s precast yard<br />

The permanent precast yard on West Java caters <strong>for</strong> the production,<br />

storage and quarantining <strong>of</strong> precast <strong>concrete</strong> units, whether it be<br />

rein<strong>for</strong>ced <strong>concrete</strong> units such as <strong>jetty</strong> <strong>elements</strong> or gravity blocks, or<br />

<strong>concrete</strong> armour units, including the Xbloc®. Precast <strong>concrete</strong><br />

<strong>elements</strong> can be loaded from the nearby quay walls. The permanet<br />

set-up <strong>of</strong> the yard garantuees a quick response after order, which<br />

minimises delivery time <strong>for</strong> our clients.<br />
