from Italy. The chrome machine we use lets us paint on
anything from 80 to 100 percent in gold, blue, red, green
and orange.
TEMPO: What are some of your most recent projects?
Axel Florida: Currently, we are working on three special
bikes for the upcoming International Gulf Bike Expo, this 10-
12 February, as we will try to bring out the best of our ability
and talent on these bikes.
TEMPO: What was your most challenging paint project?
Axel Florida: Every project that comes to our shop is a
challenge. We try to cater to the satisfaction of the client.
When the client doesn’t have a design in mind and they
leave the job to you, the hardest thing is to come up with
a unique design that hasn’t been seen on the road. I wing it
with half the paint jobs, and it comes together nicely. I work
best under pressure. When I impress them, they reciprocate
with respect and praise, and that’s good enough for me.
TEMPO: What happens if you make a mistake in the middle
of painting a project?
Axel Florida: Ooo...that is indeed a challenge. But that’s
one thing about custom painting, knowing how to fix your
screw-ups!! Airbrushed shadows, highlights and pin
striping are a necessity and if the mistake is too bad, it can
always be sanded and resprayed.
TEMPO: Any future plans for the company?
Axel Florida: Apart from expanding or setting up
additional branches, we plan to be part of the evergrowing
racing industry in the UAE. We might even
explore interior designing too....like I said we’ve got no
limitations and we like to transcend design styles.
