206B. Presents pathology and disease processes, normal and abnormal<br />

(2.0) minimum grade. Concurrent enrollment in DMS 202, DMS 206, DMS<br />
207, and LW 206C. Provides an overview of sonographic imaging of the<br />
neonatal and infant brain. Includes normal and abnormal anatomy and<br />
sonographic patterns. Looks at basic vascular ultrasound with emphasis<br />
on normal anatomy, imaging techniques, and basic pathology. (45-0)<br />

Prerequisites: DMS 112, DMS 113, DMS 114, DMS 115, DMS 116, and<br />

(2.0) minimum grade. Concurrent enrollment in DMS 201, DMS 206,<br />
DMS 207, and LW 206C. Presents basic techniques and protocols for<br />
invasive and intraoperative sonography. Looks at advanced sonographic<br />
imaging procedures, new advances in the field of sonography, and the<br />
fundamental elements for maintaining an ultrasound department. (60-0)<br />

DMS 207. Provides a clinical overview of sonographic procedures of the<br />

of pathology, recognition of disease processes, sonographic differentials,<br />

Concurrent enrollment in DMS 217. Discusses all aspects of sonographic<br />
imaging including scanning techniques and protocols, normal and<br />
abnormal sonographic patterns, pathologic and disease processes, and<br />
differential diagnosis. Includes preparation for the ARDMS certifying<br />

DRF 104 Basic Mechanical Design 4 Sem Hrs<br />
Developed for students with no drafting experience, less than one year<br />
of high school mechanical drafting, or for students with less than a C<br />
(2.0) grade in mechanical drafting. Provides instruction and practice to<br />
develop skill in spatial visualization, sketching, multiview instrument<br />
drawing, section views, design concept presentation, pictorial drawing,<br />
and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) conventional drafting<br />
and dimensioning standards. Credit may be earned in DRF 104 or DRF<br />
105 but not in both. (15-105)<br />
DRF 105 Beginning Mechanical Design 3 Sem Hrs<br />
Provides instruction and practice to develop skill in spatial visualization,<br />
sketching, multiview instrument drawing, section views, design concept<br />
presentation, pictorial drawing, and American National Standards<br />
Institute (ANSI) conventional drafting and dimensioning standards.<br />

Prerequisite: DRF 121 or SKDR 101; and CAD 114. Applies computeraided<br />
and manual methods to the mechanical design process using<br />
single and multi-view dimensioning, tolerancing, limit dimensions,<br />
thread representation and symbols, orthographic projection, auxiliary<br />
views, revolution views, design specifications, working drawings, and<br />

DRF 121 Blueprint Reading 4 Sem Hrs<br />
Introduces blueprint symbols and their meaning as used in a<br />
manufacturing operation. Provides instruction and practice to develop<br />
skill in spatial visualization, sketching, orthographic projection,<br />
including auxiliary and sectional views, detail and assembly drawings,<br />
dimensioning and tolerances, title blocks, material lists, and notes for use<br />
by various manufacturing personnel and American National Standards<br />
Institute (ANSI) conventional drafting and dimensional standards. Credit<br />
may be earned in DRF 121 or SKDR 101 but not both. (30-30)<br />
DRF 122 Blueprint Reading for Welders and<br />
Fabricators<br />
2 Sem Hrs<br />
Prerequisite: DRF 120 or DRF 121 or SKDR 101 or WELD 120 or basic<br />
knowledge of blueprint reading. Applies principles specifically designed<br />
for welders and fabricators working with welding drawings. Interprets<br />
basic blueprint information, orthographic projection, assembly drawings,<br />
and geometric tolerancing. Places emphasis on welding symbols and<br />
welding drawings. Credit may be earned in DRF 122 or WELD 122 but<br />
