ACE 210W Year II Experience I -<br />

Communications & Sciences<br />

2 Sem Hrs<br />

Prerequisites: (1) ACE 111 with a grade of B or better, (2) Majoring<br />

in communications, social sciences, science, or similar program of<br />

study, and (3) Employed in a major-related position. Continues from<br />

Year I Experience II with additional responsibilities at the worksite.<br />

Provides further opportunity to produce and exchange professional<br />

communications and demonstrate continuous improvement in<br />

professional skill sets. Continues development of electronic portfolio. The<br />

employer/site supervisor and the college coordinator make evaluations.<br />

For successful completion, a grade of at least a B must be earned in both<br />

this course and its associated work experience. A final grade of F will be<br />

assigned in both course and work experience if either is not successfully<br />

Prerequisites: (1) Majoring in construction management, industrial<br />

supervision, manufacturing industrial technology, or lean manufacturing,<br />

(2) employed in a major-ralated placement, and (3) completed the<br />

program application process in the Office of Academic Career Experience<br />

(Cooperative Education) and Experiential Learning. Integrates,<br />

reinforces, and documents the student’s academic studies with related<br />

career experience of at least 180 hours at an approved worksite.<br />

Evaluations are made by the employer/site supervisor and the college<br />

coordinator. (0-180)<br />

ACE 285W Internship: Design Technology 1 Sem Hr<br />

Prerequisites: (1) Majoring in architectural technology, CAD, residential<br />

construction, RHA, CNC technology, mechanical engineering technology,<br />

machine tool, manufacturing/welding engineering technology or similar<br />

program of study, (2) employed in a major-related placement, and (3)<br />

completed the program application process in the Office of Academic<br />

Career Experience (Cooperative Education) and Experiential Learning.<br />

Integrates, reinforces, and documents the student’s academic studies with<br />

related career experience of at least 180 hours at an approved worksite.<br />

Evaluations are made by the employer/site supervisor and the college<br />

coordinator. (0 - 180)<br />

AFT 101 Private Pilot Ground Training 4 Sem Hrs<br />

Provides the basic principles of the aeronautical knowledge necessary to<br />

meet the requirements for a Private Pilot - Airplane Knowledge Exam.<br />

Includes principles of aerodynamics, airplane performance, airplane<br />

instruments, engines, and systems, airports and Air Traffic Control,<br />

weight and balance calculations, weather, Federal Aviation Regulations,<br />

aeronautical navigation charts and navigation, and principles of flight<br />
