Electrical Utility Substation Worker - Advanced Certificate

The degree program is designed to prepare you for jobs in the Electrical Utility field. The Electrical Utility Substation Advanced Certificate
program trains you for the duties and tasks required to repair and maintain an electrical utility substation. Completion of this program may preempt
apprenticeship hours in the Substation/Electrical Utility field.

1. A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in all courses for the certificate.
2. In addition to the program requirements, utility companies in general require that applicants have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a

3. Student is responsible for purchasing flame retardant smock, eyeglasses with shield, hardhat, and leather work boots for SKEL 104 orientation
course.
4. File an application for an associate or dual degree and/or certificate with the Registrar’s Office by at least 3 months prior to expected graduation.
