Electrical Utility Substation Worker - Advanced Certificate<br />

The degree program is designed to prepare you for jobs in the Electrical Utility field. The Electrical Utility Substation Advanced Certificate<br />

program trains you for the duties and tasks required to repair and maintain an electrical utility substation. Completion of this program may preempt<br />

apprenticeship hours in the Substation/Electrical Utility field.<br />

1. A grade of “C” (2.0) or higher is required in all courses for the certificate.<br />

2. In addition to the program requirements, utility companies in general require that applicants have a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a<br />

3. Student is responsible for purchasing flame retardant smock, eyeglasses with shield, hardhat, and leather work boots for SKEL 104 orientation<br />

course.<br />

4. File an application for an associate or dual degree and/or certificate with the Registrar’s Office by at least 3 months prior to expected graduation.<br />
