-Usually ectoparasites but sometimes may be found<br />

partly or entirely within root tissues<br />

= semi-endoparasite -> endoparasite.<br />

- May be ectoparasite on young roots and endoparasite<br />

on older roots.<br />

- Life cycle can be 6-7 weeks.<br />

- In high populations may damage many different crops;<br />

grasses, cotton, pine, oak, wheat, banana, sugarcane,<br />

corn, soybean, coffee, tea, turf and forest trees.
