14 PREPS GANGING 5.3.2 GETTING STARTED GUIDE
Managing pages
Preps Ganging content pages include any pages that you add from
customer input files or from file placeholders. The customer's original
files are not affected by any layout changes that you make to a
content page on a press sheet, and any rotation or scaling that you
apply to placed content page affects only that page. If you select the
same page from the file list and place it elsewhere on the same press
sheet, it will have the default properties, with no content rotation or
scaling applied.
Template pages define the placement of content pages. There is one
template page for each content page.
Adding pages to a layout
Each time you add a content page or a copy of a page, the file list
Count column is updated with the number of instances of that page
on the press sheet. A value of 0 (zero) appears beside any page that
is not yet placed.
Adding a content page to a press sheet
1. In the file list, expand an input content or placeholder file to view its
list of pages.
2. Drag a page from the file list to a position on the press sheet.
3. Drag the next page from the file list until it is near an edge of the
first page.
4. Release the mouse to snap the second page to its default position
adjacent to the first page. The default snap position is defined in
Preferences.
5. Repeat to place any remaining pages for this press sheet.
To add pages to the back of a two-sided sheet, use the Flip tool.
Adding pages from Prinergy
1. Create the job, and add and refine the pages. For instructions, see
the Prinergy Connect Workshop or Prinergy Evo Help.
2. Drag the pages to the Preps Ganging job's file list or workspace
from their folder location.
