Adding files to a job's file list<br />
Use any of these methods:<br />
Adding a file placeholder<br />
• From the File menu, choose Add Files, and then locate and add<br />
the PDF files.<br />
• From a local or network folder location in Finder or Windows<br />
Explorer, drag a PDF file into the file list.<br />
• From Finder or Windows Explorer, drag a PDF file onto a press<br />
sheet in the workspace.<br />
This adds the file to the file list and places its pages on the sheet:<br />
1. From the Job menu, choose Add File Placeholder.<br />
2. Specify the page trim size and number of pages, and provide an<br />
optional name.<br />
3. Click OK to add the file placeholder and its placeholder pages to<br />
the file list.<br />
4. Add the placeholder pages to the job's press sheet layouts.<br />
The file and its pages appear in green text to indicate that they are<br />
placeholders that can be replaced with content files when available.<br />
Replacing a placeholder with content<br />
1. In the file list, select the placeholder file.<br />
2. From the Job menu, choose Replace File Placeholder.<br />
3. Locate and select the file, and click Open.<br />
4. If the page count of the placeholder file and the new content file are<br />
different, respond to the message that asks how to handle the<br />
difference.
