Adding media to the Media list<br />
The following procedure describes the most significant points to<br />
remember when you set up the media in a device configuration.<br />
1. In the Folder Preferences, set the Printers folder location that is<br />
used by the <strong>Preps</strong> <strong>Ganging</strong> software.<br />
2. Add and configure a device, noting the following points about<br />
setting its media values for use in <strong>Preps</strong> <strong>Ganging</strong>:<br />
• In the Page Size list, select the default media name that you<br />
want for this device configuration. The actual page<br />
dimensions of the media are derived from the device PPD file.<br />
• You can also define and add a Custom Size to a device<br />
configuration's Page Size list.<br />
• Set up the Punch Location. The punch area that you define<br />
is represented by a shaded area when you add the media to<br />
the workspace.<br />
Note: <strong>Preps</strong> <strong>Ganging</strong> does not currently recognize any devices that<br />
do not have a defined punch location.<br />
3. If you used other <strong>Preps</strong> software to add the device, restart <strong>Preps</strong><br />
<strong>Ganging</strong> to update the Media list.<br />
Adding stock to the Stock list<br />
1. From the Resource menu, choose New Stock.<br />
2. Type a name for the stock and specify its size.<br />
3. Specify additional details for your own reference.<br />
4. Click Save to immediately add the new stock resource to the Stock<br />
list.
