Congratulations and many happy returns
We at Zara are delighted to be taking part in this
wonderful centennial celebration. On behalf of all of
our employees, we would like to extend our warmest
and heartfelt wishes to our beloved home and city of
Amman.
This booklet was prepared and researched by
members of our staff, namely Marianne Sahouri and
Abeer Goussous. The little discoveries made along
the way were a constant reminder to all of us why we
are so fond of Amman.
This booklet is not intended for educational purposes.
It is also not intended to offer any documentary
account of Amman.
We would like to thank each and every person
who contributed to the production of this work. In
particular, we would like to thank The Royal Court, our
dear friend Zohrab, Father Jean-Michel de Tarragon،
Dr. Nayef Goussous / Jordan Ahli Bank-Numismatic
Museum and Greater Amman Municipality.
كل عا م و أ نتِ‏ بأ لف خري
نحن سعداء في شركة زارة لإلستثمار بمشاركتنا المتواضعة
في إحتفاالت مئوية أمانة عمان الكبرى،‏ وبالنيابة عن موظفي
الشركة فاننا نتقدم باحر التهاني واالمنيات القلبية الصادقة
الى مدينتنا/عاصمتنا الحبيبة عمّ‏ ان متمنين لها الدوام
واالزدهار.‏
ان هذا الكتيب هو نتاج بحث وكتابة قامت بها مجموعة من
موظفي الشركة،‏ ماريان ساحوري و عبير قسوس ، وكل ما
صادفناه من اكتشافات مهما كانت صغيرة،‏ اكدت سبب
شغفنا بهذه المدينة الطيبة.‏
ان هذا الكتيب لم يصمم الغراض تعليمية وهو ال يمثل اي
توثيق مرجعي لمدينة عمان.‏
وفي الختام فاننا في شركة زارة نود ان نتقدم بالشكر الجزيل
لكل من ساهم في انجاز هذا العمل،‏ وباالخص نتوجه بالشكر
