About the College
Govt. Engineering College Ajmer was established in year
1997 with a view to providing learning facilities to boys &
girls, deserving and desiring, and to produce engineers of
highest ability who will become trendsetters in the
profession. The institution is successfully moving forward
with increased student strength, brilliant faculty members
and efficient staff members. The institute has its own
sprawling Wi-Fi campus, most modernized and ever
growing other infrastructure facilities. Our aim is balanced
development of students’ personality got concrete
expression in the form of participation of students in
activities, organized under various forums like Creative Art
Society, Sports Club, NSS, NCC, for their physiccal,
mental, aesthetical, ethical and intellectual development.
About the Department
Govt. Engineering College Ajmer (ECA) is one of the
most renowned government engineering colleges in
Rajasthan established in 1997, whose integral part is
MCA department, Which is started in 2006. The
department has almost 08 faculties to provide best
teaching facilities to almost 180 students. There are 3
well established computer labs with around 90 PC’s. All
the labs are well equipped with latest processors and
internet through both WI-FI & LAN. The objective of
the Department is to prepare future generation computer
professionals for long-term careers in research, technical
development and applications. The curriculum
emphasize on program design, analysis and
implementation, with both a strong theoretical
foundation and relevant practical component, covering
most aspects of computing and computer
communications
About Ajmer
Ajmer an oasis, enveloped in the bewitching
brownish hilly terrain, founded in the 7th century
A.D. by Raja Ajay Pal Chauhan, lies in the heart of
Rajasthan. The city, an exotic land of valiance &
chivalry and historical centre of pilgrimage, is
renowned for an amalgamation of various cultures
& traditions of Marathas, Chauhans and Mughals
and undoubtedly, for its fabulous quality education.
The fulcrums of Ajmer are Dargah Sharif Tomb of
the Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti and sacred
Pushkar, the abode of Lord Brahma. Ajmer, having
a population of over 5 lakhs is well connected to the
other major cities by rail and road. The Sister City
of Ajmer, Pushkar is only 11 Kms away from the
city. The road to Pushkar passes through the Nag
Pahar or the Snake Mountain.

About the Workshop
The usage of computer and communication networks have
grown exponentially for the several years presenting critical
challenges and new opportunities to service providers,
equipment vendors , outsourcing firms, technology
developers, and enterprises themselves. In this scenario,
network engineers must work proactively to improve
performance, security and operational costs of the existing
functions and to work efficiently to increase productivity
through new methods of networks usage. The recent
developments have resulted in substantial advances in our
ability to model and simulate large-scale networks. Such
advances have the potential to help understand of the
behavior of network systems, offering newer opportunities
to pave a way to create more reliable, robust, and secure
network services for the future. The purpose of this
workshop is to provide an insight into fundamentals of
network simulation through the NS-2 to tackle intricate
problems in areas of computer networks.
1. This workshop will be helpful for the researchers and
scientists for reviewing their status of knowledge and to
update it for the current needs.
2. As lot of M.Tech. and Ph.D. students are doing research
in the field of wireless Technology issues. Hence, this
workshop will be helpful to all of them.
3. This workshop will provide a platform to discuss the
innovative and research issues of the wireless technology
and provide an practical approach of working on them.
