The Wöhler A 500 sets yardsticks in the flue gas analysis. Based on proven technology it combines 

simple ‚Touch-Screen‘ operation with a full featured residential, commercial and light industrial 

grade analyzer. The ideal tool for the service technician who needs to determine CO safety, combustion 

efficiency and emissions compliance.

the A500 calibrates automatically 

and shows up to 12 values on 

the touch screen display. With an

the parameter input, the printout 

and the data administration. The 

analyzer comes standard with 

advanced communication capabili-

The condensate trap system consisting of 4 easy to 

reach filters protects the sensors from humidity and 

dust. The automatic clean out pump protects the 

sensors during high CO concentrations. Scheduled 

work is made much easier by the sensor diagnosis. 

To know the status of each sensor will give you 

confidence in any measurement. 

The sensor change can be done by the operator 

himself; precalibrated sensors are available for in field 

replacement. Downtimes belong thereby to the past 

and service costs are reduced.

The k-value of walls provides information about the amount of heat which is 

transported through a wall due to a temperature difference. With the measurement of 

the wall surface temperature and knowledge of the interior and outside temperatures, 

the k-value can be calculated. The accurate measurement of the wall surface 

temperature is done with the special W type probe in connection with the A 500 or 

the DT 22 (p. 29).

Function: 

A leak is an unwanted flow of a substance (gas, liquid) out of a system, or in a vacuum into 

the system. Friction in the flow generates ultrasonic sound. In order for a leak to generate 

ultrasonic frequencies, the flow through the leak has to be turbulent. The velocity of the 

moving gas must be high in relation to the orifice. The UL 23 detects the ultrasonic sound that 

is emitted by a leak, processes it, and displays its level. The larger the leak, the higher the 

indication. In addition to the display, it produces an audio reproduction of the leak sound. The 

intensity of the audio will change proportionally to the ultrasonic sound level. 

As the device is able to detect leaks in different types of medium (gas, liquid), there is a great 

number of different applications, especially in the sectors heating, air-conditioning, buildings.

L 24 Locator 

The compact, handheld L 24 Locator uses a 32kHZ frequency to locate 

the present position of the camera inside a pipe, wall structure or even 

underground. The locator beacon is plugged in between the camera 

head and the rod. When an area of interest is found with the camera, 

the L 24 provides a precise positioning of the camera head. Depth 

localisation is also possible by triangulation. The L 24 Locator provides 

both a visual and auditory indicator of signal strength. A headset is
