INSTALLMENT PAyMENTS<br />

Tuition payment plan is available to students who wish to pay<br />
their tuition in installments throughout the semester. This<br />
is not a loan program, and there are not interest or finance<br />
charges assessed. The cost for the monthly payment plan is<br />
$25 per semester. Tuition fees may be budgeted by automatic<br />
bank payment or credit card option.<br />
WITHDRAWING FROM CLASSES<br />
you may withdraw from a class by selecting “Register and Drop<br />
Sections” on EagleNet. Permission from your instructor is not<br />
required. Individual sections may be dropped up to 75 percent<br />
into the term. Complete withdrawal may be done up until the<br />
last day before finals begin. Refer to the refund policy section<br />
for refund amount, if applicable. Consult your class syllabus<br />
for dates specific to your section.<br />
Beginning your first week of classes: If you terminate participation<br />
in your classes and do not withdraw, you will receive “F”<br />
grades and your instructor will assign your last date of attendance.<br />
This date will determine your financial aid recalculation.<br />

Changes involving refunds will be computed as of the date they<br />
are changed via Internet or received in the One Stop office.<br />
As a <strong>Kirkwood</strong> <strong>Community</strong> College student, it is your responsibility<br />
to follow these procedures. If special circumstances<br />
prevent you from following registration procedures as listed,<br />
notify the One Stop office.<br />
REFUND POLICy<br />
Students may receive a refund of their tuition according to the<br />
following schedule:<br />
Full-semester classes (16 weeks):<br />
100 percent of tuition First week of semester<br />
50 percent of tuition Second week of semester<br />
Half-semester classes (8 weeks):<br />
100 percent of tuition First three days of classes<br />
50 percent of tuition Second three days of classes<br />
The exceptions to this policy are classes that meet only once,<br />
twice or only one weekend. There is no refund for these classes<br />
beginning the day of the first class meeting.<br />
The last day to exchange classes of equal hours at no additional<br />
charge is the end of the second week of the course start<br />
date. Students must obtain faculty and dean approval (signatures)<br />
prior to exchanging a class if the semester is in session<br />
or if the desired class is full. Changes involving refunds will<br />
be computed as of the date they are changed via Internet or<br />
received in the One Stop office.<br />
All refunds are based on tuition only. Financial aid recipients<br />
who withdraw from all classes are subject to refund guidelines<br />
stipulated in the Higher Education Act. Contact the Financial<br />
Aid office at 319-398-7600 for the appropriate schedule. Tuition<br />
refunds for complete withdrawals for students receiving<br />
financial aid are returned to financial aid.<br />
