HOW TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES<br />
STeP ONe: Degree Audit.<br />
The Degree Audit function in EagleNet will help you determine what classes<br />
you still need to take to complete your degree.<br />
• eaglenet.kirkwood.edu >> log in using your k number<br />
(example: k0003750) and password >> EagleNet for Students<br />
• Go to the Academic Planning section and click “Degree Audit.”<br />
• Select your program and click “Submit.” To see how your credits transfer<br />
to different programs of study, select the desired program from “What<br />
if I changed my program of study?” and click “Submit.” The requested<br />
degree audit information appears on the screen.<br />
• After you register for your classes, you can run a degree audit to confirm<br />
that you are registered for the correct classes for your program.<br />
STeP TWO: Meet with an advisor.<br />
He or she will use your degree audit to determine what classes to take based<br />
on your specific situation.<br />
STeP THree: Register for classes.<br />
After you’ve met with your advisor and built your schedule, you can register<br />
one of the following ways:<br />

Under “Registration,” click “How to Register for Courses in EagleNet.”<br />

At the <strong>Kirkwood</strong> One Stop office, second floor, <strong>Kirkwood</strong> Hall.<br />
REGISTRATION PRIORITy FOR<br />
CURRENTLy ENROLLED STUDENTS<br />
you will be notified through the mail and e-mail of when<br />
you can register. If you’re currently enrolled at <strong>Kirkwood</strong>,<br />
you are allowed to register early, depending on how many<br />
credits you’ve earned. Priority is based upon the total<br />
number of credits earned to date.<br />
OPEN REGISTRATION<br />
To get your first choice of classes, and good advice about<br />
what courses are best for you, see your advisor and<br />
register during Priority Registration. Beginning April 27 for<br />
summer, and July 16 for fall, sections will be open for<br />
general registration.<br />
Overload: 12 credit hours in summer, 19 credit hours in<br />
fall are considered an overload, and a department dean<br />
signature is required.<br />

Students enrolling at <strong>Kirkwood</strong> are classified as residents<br />
or nonresidents of Iowa, or as international students, for<br />
admission and tuition purposes by the college’s One Stop<br />
office.<br />

After you’ve registered for classes, you can see your tuition<br />
charges at eaglenet.kirkwood.edu >> My Bill by Term.<br />
Tuition is due before the term starts; for summer, the<br />
deadline is 5 p.m., May 20, <strong>2011</strong>. For fall, the deadline is<br />
5 p.m., Aug. 19, <strong>2011</strong>.<br />
