Our Services
Northern Health is one of the busiest health services
in Victoria.
Every week, on average:
5000 patients are treated at a Northern Health campus.
46 babies are born at The Northern Hospital and 47 children
receive treatment in our paediatric unit.
Our Hospital in the Home service visits 22 patients in
their home while more than 1750 patients are referred to
a Northern Health service by their GP.
320 patients come to our Emergency Department at
The Northern Hospital by Ambulance and close to 1300
patients are treated in our Emergency Department.
We perform almost 100 emergency operations and more
than 200 elective procedures.
Across Northern Health we treat people born in more than
130 different countries and our in-house interpreting services
provide assistance to a range of patients for whom English is
not their first language.
