Mr Greg Pullen,
Chief Executive Officer

Greg Pullen is the Chief Executive Officer of Northern Health. Before joining Northern Health he was the
CEO of Goulburn Valley Health, the regional referral hospital for north-eastern Victoria.
Mr Pullen’s professional memberships include Associate Fellow of the Australian College of Health
Service Executives (AFCHSE), Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants (FCPA),
Associate Fellow of the Australian Health Services Financial Management Association (AHSFMA).
Mr Robert Burnham,
Executive Director, Surgical, Obstetrics and Paediatric Services
RN, RM, Crit Care, Bch App Sc (Admin), Grad Dip, (Hlth Admin), MHA, AFACHSE
As the Executive Director Surgical, Obstetrics and Paediatric Services, Robert Burnham brings with him
more than 30 years of acute health care experience. Mr Burnham built on his nursing background
with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Administration), a Graduate Diploma of Health Services
Management and a Masters of Health Services Management.
Mr Burnham served at the former Preston & Northcote Community Hospital and Prince Henry Hospital
in various capacities including Associate Director of Nursing Human Resources, Director (Nursing)
Surgical Services, Chief Nursing Officer, Operations Director (Obstetrics, Paediatrics and Surgery) and
General Manager of The Northern Hospital.
He was also the Chair of The Northern Hospital Relocation Consultation Committee, given the task of
establishing The Northern Hospital in Epping, relocating from the PANCH site in Preston. Mr Burnham
was also a member of the DoH Patient Management Task Force that reviewed acute health services in
metropolitan hospitals and the DoH Patient and Client Management Information Systems Committee,
which was responsible for the selection and implementation of a common patient information system
across health services in Victoria.
Mr Burnham is currently a member of the Intensive Care Advisory Committee which advises and informs
the DoH on critical care policy matters.
Ms Robynne Cooke,
Executive Director Medical and Continuing Care
RN, Ba Nursing, Grad Dip(Gerontology) MHSM, MRCNA
Robynne Cooke is currently the Executive Director of Medical and Continuing Care Services and also
the Chief Nursing Officer for Northern Health. Ms Cooke commenced at Northern Health in 2008
as the Director of Nursing and Director of Operations at Bundoora Extended Care Centre. Ms Cooke
has worked previously at Melbourne Health as a Director, the Department of Human Services and
also Austin Health. She currently represents Northern Health on the acute medical inpatient advisory
committee and is also a member of the Metropolitan Health Services Nurse Executives Group. Ms Cooke
is a member of the Royal College of Nursing Australia.
Mr Sam Costanzo, Executive Director, Finance,
Client Data Management and Corporate Communications
B.Bus (accounting) CPA
Sam Costanzo joined Northern Health in April 2005, and has been working in the public healthcare
system since 2001. Mr Costanzo previously worked with Western Health (2001- 2005), TXU (formerly
Westar Pty Ltd) (1999-2001), Westar Pty Ltd (formerly Gas & Fuel) (1997- 1999) and Whittlesea City
Council (1994-1997). Mr Costanzo is a member of CPA Australia.
In his current role he is responsible for financial governance and oversight in support of the CEO.
