Well, Howdy Pard’ner! Welcome to Frontier
Town Campground - Ocean City Maryland’s
Premier Camping Resort! First of all, we want to
thank y’all for votin’ us one of Woodall’s “TOP 10
CAMPGROUNDS” in North America! That, and
our Woodall’s Double 5W rating, is a real fine “tip
of the hat” when it comes to our overall customer
satisfaction and service.
We’d like to invite y’all for another fine season
at our waterfront campground situated along the
beautiful, tumblin’ with wild-life Sinepuxent Bay!

nothing more than to share each and every sunrise,
sunset and glimpse of wildlife we’re known for.

nearly 600 spacious campsites caterin’ to primitive
tentin’ all the way up to luxury 45-foot motorhomes,
deluxe rental trailers and campin’ cabins. Our
fully stocked Camp Store is somethin’ we’re mighty

down the street in the other direction is Assateague Island National Seashore

Commerical Fishing Harbor in West Ocean
City, or shop the local outlets and specialty
shops!
BERLIN: Visit the quaint town of Berlin,
site for the filming of “Runaway Bride”
starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere &
Disney’s “Tuck Everlasting”. Browse about
the Farmer’s Market, Antique Shops, Boutiques,

ASSATEAGUE ISLAND: Visit Maryland’s
only oceanfront park - home of the Wild
Ponies! This barrier island is bordered
by the Atlantic Ocean on the east and the
Sinepuxent Bay on the west. Trek along
nature trails on bike or on foot or see
more of the refuge and its wildlife by boat
or kayak. Then, take a try at surf fishing!
SNOW HILL: Nestled on the south banks
of the Pocomoke River, Snow Hill boasts
a rich heritage that is celebrated daily at
Furnace Town Living Heritage Museum and
during a summer festival every August.

any other discounts. In honor of our American
Veterans, our campgrounds offer an “Active Duty
Military Personnel and Honorably Discharged
Veterans” special during the month of November.

2. MAKE US YOUR BIRD WATCHING HEADQUARTERS! Thanks to our ecological
diversity, Worcester County hosts a spectacular variety of birds, both resident and
migratory - over 350 species have been recorded! Bald Eagles, owls, herons, egrets,
osprey, warblers and even the occasional wild turkey have all been spotted on our
campgrounds.
3. LINGER LONGER...FER FREE! All “Late Stays” before May 27th and after September 4th, 2012 are FREE,
when available. That means y’all can stay on yer site til 5:00 PM (rental units, 3:00 PM) on your departure
day fer FREE. And if yer site is not available, then jus’ park in our corral. Jus’ remember to request yer FREE
“Late Stay” when makin’ yer reservations.
4. A LIL’ PEACE & QUIET...No
more hustle and bustle of the fastpaced
summer crowds. This is a
great time of year fer campin’! A
slower pace, a quieter atmosphere
and peaceful serenity abounds. It’s
a perfect time for nature walks,
bike ridin’ and bird watchin’. Most
Spring and Fall days are also ideal
for sunbathin’ on the beach or
strollin’ along the Boardwalk. Watersport Rentals and Charter Boat
Fishing are still in full swing, yet the long summer waitin’ lines have
subsided.
5. VARIETY OF LOCAL ACTIVITIES: Ya’ll are gonna love discoverin’ Delmarva’s Lower Eastern Shore while
explorin’ our natural scenery and cultural heritage by vehicle, boat, canoe, kayak, bike or on foot.

CHECK-IN: Check-in is 2:00 PM for Campsites and 3:00 PM for Vacation Rental Trailers and Cabins. Balance is due upon arrival. Personal Checks are not accepted at check-in. We
welcome overnight campers on a first-come/first-serve basis. Please be considerate of your neighbors and plan to arrive before 11:00 PM (quiet time).
CHECK-OUT: Check-out is 11:30 AM for Campsites and 10:00 AM for Vacation Rental Trailers and Cabins.
RESERVATION DEPOSIT: A Reservation Deposit of $75 per week per Campsite ($25 for spring or fall) is required within 7 days of making reservations. Vacation rentals require a
deposit of $250 per week (1 night’s rate spring or fall). Balance is due upon arrival. Checks only accepted 30 days in advance for campsites or 60 days in advance for rental trailers
and cabins.
FUTURE RESERVATIONS: Reservations may be made one to two years in advance. A one week minimum is required.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancelling or shortening a PEAK SEASON reservation must be done at least 30 days prior to the arrival date for campsites and 60 days prior for rental
trailers and cabins or deposits will be forfeited (7 days prior for spring and fall).
NO SHOWS: No Shows will be cancelled the day after the scheduled arrival date, after 4:00PM, unless guest has contacted reservations to hold the site.
SECURITY DEPOSIT: Vacation Rental Trailers and Cabins require a $50 security deposit at check-in. The security deposit will be refunded when the key is returned. Lost key fee is
$35.00.
MINIMUM STAYS: Advance reservations during peak season must be for a period of 3 nights or more. Holidays (Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th and Labor Day Weekend) require a
3-night minimum stay. Vacation Rental Trailers and Cabins require a 2 night minimum in spring and fall and one week minimum during peak season.
MAXIMUM PEOPLE PER SITE, RENTAL TRAILER OR CABIN: The maximum number of people per site is 6.
GUESTS: Guests (additional campers) are not permitted entry after midnight. Fees are $12 per person Memorial Day – Labor Day and $6 per person at all other times.
VISITORS: Visits of less than one hour are FREE. Over one hour $6 per person. Visitors are not given free admission or discounts to the Water Park or Western Theme Park.
GROUP TENT AREAS: One tent and one vehicle permitted per site. At least 10 feet must be maintained between tents. Picnic tables or fire rings are not provided. No guests are
permitted. Pets are not permitted in Group Tent Areas.
SHUTTLE BUS: The Shuttle Bus runs daily from mid-June through Labor Day. It runs SATURDAY ONLY DURING THE OFF-SEASONS (extra runs during Springfest and Sunfest). Riders
under 14 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
VEHICLES: Basic rate entitles campers to park one vehicle on site. One extra vehicle may be parked per site for an additional fee of $2.00 per night. Extra vehicles are not allowed
in group tent areas. Please display vehicle pass at all times on rear-view mirror. Turn pass in to office when checking out. SPEED LIMIT IS 13 ½ MILES PER HOUR THROUGHOUT THE
CAMPGROUND. All vehicles, including golf carts, mopeds and motorcycles must be operated by folks with a valid driver’s license. THE ONLY 4 WHEELED VEHICLES ALLOWED ARE
GOLF CARTS OTHER THAN YOUR AUTOS AND TRUCKS. MOTORIZED SCOOTERS ARE NOT PERMITTED. Car and RV washing’ is not permitted.
BOATS, BOAT TRAILERS, UTILITY TRAILERS: Boats, boat trailers and utility trailers are permitted on campsites but will be counted as the extra vehicle for an additional fee of $2.00
per night. If there is already a 2nd vehicle on the campsite, they must be placed in storage or designated overflow area.
PETS: WE LOVE PETS...However, all pets must wear current and valid rabies tags, be leashed, cleaned up after, attended to at all times and not be vicious or exotic. Sorry, pets are
not allowed in vacation rentals except for designated “Pet Friendly” units. Pets may not be left unattended at any time. Excessive barking is not permitted. Pets are not permitted
in Group Tent areas.
BICYCLES: DON’T FORGET YOUR BIKE HELMET! Maryland State Law requires that children under 16 years of age wear a helmet while riding a bicycle. Bicycle riding is not allowed in
the campground after sunset. Remember: bicycle riders must obey the same rules of the road as a motor vehicle.
DISTURBIN’ THE PEACE: Quiet time is from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Please, no loud talkin’, loud radios, loud televisions or other noise between these hours. Please, no roamin’ in the
campground after midnight. Please do not cut through other’s campsites. The use of generators is prohibited.
CAMPSITES: Only one main camping unit and one family per site is allowed. A small two-man pup tent may also be set up for minor children only. Camping units must be separated
from each other by a minimum of ten feet. Although we try our best to honor site requests, we reserve the right to change site assignments.
CAMPFIRES: Campfires are permitted from 8:00 AM to midnight. Please never leave a fire unattended.
PICNIC TABLES & FIRE RINGS: One picnic table and one fire ring per site. Please do not move picnic tables or fire rings from your campsite or another’s campsite. Please inform the
Camp Store or Front Desk if you need a picnic table or fire ring. Picnic table and fire rings are not provided in group tent areas.
LOST & FOUND: Located at the Front Desk. We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles. Ocean City Lost & Found: 410-723-6611.
INSECT CONTROL: Spraying for mosquitoes is conducted by Worcester County, Maryland and is done on the maximum number of days that the county allows when necessary.
Spraying is done between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM. Any questions regarding spraying should be directed to Worcester County Mosquito Control.
SEWER HOOKUPS: Sewer hoses must be undamaged and must not be inserted into the sewer more than 6 inches. Due to Maryland State Health Regulations, all sewer hookups must
be airtight and watertight. Sewer donuts are available at the camp store.
WASTE WATER: Maryland State Law prohibits the discharge of any waste water (septic or gray water) onto the ground. Violators may be subject to a fine and possible eviction.
Formaldehyde products are not permitted.
FIRE SAFETY: Fire extinguishers are located at the Front Desk, Camp Store, all bathhouses and in all Vacation Trailers and Campin’ Cabins. Smoke detectors are provided in
all Vacation Trailers and Campin’ Cabins. We recommend that smoke detectors be used in all RV’s. All flammable liquids in the campground must be stored in approved safety
containers.
FIREWORKS: Fireworks and explosives of any kind are not permitted under any circumstances. Fireworks are illegal in Maryland. Anyone caught with fireworks may be asked to
leave the premises (without a refund). There will be no warnings.
NO SMOKING ALLOWED IN RENTAL TRAILERS, CABINS, BATHHOUSES OR CAMP STORE.
CLOSING DAY: Closing Day 2012 for both campgrounds will be Sunday, November 25. We ask that all campers be out of the campground by 1:00 PM.
DISCLAIMER – READ CAREFULLY: By making a reservation and in consideration of your stay at Frontier Town or Fort Whaley Campgrounds, you have agreed to abide by the rules
and regulations of the campgrounds and hold Frontier Town or Fort Whaley Campground harmless against any loss of property or injury to person. We reserve the right to select
