He has been roped in for a supporting role in Rakeysh
Om Prakash Mehra’s Rang De Basanti which made
him known in Bollywood after which he played a
prominent role in Mani Ratnam’s Guru. Later on he has
played the main supporting role in Rajkumar Hirani’s
3 Idiots starring Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi
which made him busy in Bollywood. He has signed for
various endorsements and he has been roped in as the
brand ambassador for various commercials. He has
played the main lead in Tanu Weds Manu which was
a smashing hit in Bollywood. Kangana Ranaut played
the female lead in the movie which has been directed
by Anand L Rai.
He has done cameos in various Bollywood films post
Tanu Weds Manu but none of them could manage
his recognition. He lost his consistency after a series
of flops over there. His recent movie Vettai has
brought him the charm in Kollywood but he tasted
the same result with Jodi Breakers in Bollywood.
He has recently wrapped up the shoot of Tanu Weds
Manu 2 and one more Bollywood flick Saala Khadoos.
Madhavan has been working hard to come back with
a bang in Bollywood. Hope he makes an impact soon
again.
