Legendary actor Kamal Haasan, is back with yet another period drama
Uttama Villain.
On the eve of the film’s release, we caught
up with Kamal sir for a brief interview. Let’s
see what he has to say.

Q)Why do you face
so many problems to
release your films ?
Off late, it has become a
problem to release films
in India. There are many
people who are ready
to bring your film down
for no reason. This is a
democratic country, and
everybody should have
the right to showcase or
speak what ever they feel
like.
Q)Your film has received
an ‘U’ certificate. But
why did some Hindu
organizations go against
the film?
India is a country
which has 75% Hindu
population, and I would
be a fool to make a
film which will hurt
their sentiments. In
fact, everyone should
understand that I want
people from every
religion to watch my
films.
Q) Why did you choose
Ramesh Aravind as the
director ?
Even though I have
written the script and
screenplay, I wanted
someone who can depict
it well on screen. Ramesh
is an old friend and an
wonderful actor himself.
He was the apt choice
and has directed the film
superbly.
Q)How was the whole
experience working
with your gurus K
Balachander and
Vishwananth ?
I have already worked
with them in many films
in the past, and like
always I had a wonderful
time working with them.
