Finished Measurements:
Belt: 3 1 ⁄2" wide x 30 1 ⁄2" long;
Cuffs: 6 3 ⁄4" wide x 4 1 ⁄4" long unbuttoned
MATERIALS:
Premiere By Classic Elite (50% pima cotton,
50% tencel; 50 gram hank = approx 108 yards)
• 2 hanks 5216 Natural
Needles
• One pair size US 5 (3.75 mm)
• One crochet hook size US D/3 (3.25 mm)
• Eight 1 ⁄2" buttons
Gauge: 21 sts and 28 rows = 4" in Vine
Lace Pattern. Take time to save time, check
your gauge.
SPECIAL TERMS:
yo: Yarn over (1 st increased).
ssk: (slip, slip, knit) Slip 2 sts, 1 at a time, knitwise
to the RH needle; return sts to LH needle
in turned position and knit them together
through the back loops (1 st decreased).
k2tog: Knit 2 sts together (1 st decreased).
PATTERN STITCHES:
Garter Stitch (Gtr st): Knit every row.
Vine Lace Pattern: (multiple of 9 sts + 4)

Rows 1 and 3: (WS) K2, purl to last 2 sts, k2.
Row 2: K3, *yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k1; rep
from * to last st, k1.
Row 4: K2 *yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k1; rep
from * to last 2 sts, k2.
Rep Rows 1– 4 for Vine Lace Patt.
Chain (ch): Wrap the yarn around the crochet
hook (yarn over) and draw it through
the loop on the hook to form the first chain.
Rep this step as many times as instructed.
(The loop on the hook is never included
when counting the number of chains).
Single Crochet (sc): Insert crochet hook
in indicated stitch, yarn over and pull up
a loop; yarn over and draw through both
loops on hook.
BELT
CO 22 sts. (WS) Begin Gtr st; work 2 rows
even, end RS row. Change to Vine Lace
Patt; work even until pc meas approx 30"
from beg, end WS Row 3 of Vine Lace Patt.
Change to Gtr St; (RS) work 2 rows even, end
WS row. (RS) BO all sts knitwise.
FINISHING
Block pc to measurements taking care to
pin BO edge of belt into scallop pattern to
mimic CO edge. Ties: Cut 12 pcs of yarn,
each 35" long. *Using 3 pcs of yarn, tie a
knot 2" from end and braid the 3 strands
together. When braid reaches 2" from end
of strands, tie a second knot to secure braid;
rep from * 3 more times. **Slip braid through
eyelet closest to corner of belt. When braid is
halfway through the eyelet, tie in a knot; rep
from ** for each corner.

CUFFS (make 2)
CO 49 sts. (WS) Knit 1 row. (RS) Begin Vine
Lace Patt; beg Row 2 of Vine Lace Patt, work
even until pc meas approx 3 1 ⁄2" from beg,
end RS Row 4 of Vine Lace Patt. Shape Cuff:
(WS) [K2tog] 3 times, *k3, k2tog; rep from * 6
times, k2, [k2tog] 3 times — 36 sts rem. *(RS)
Knit 1 row. Next Row: (WS) K2, purl to last 2 sts,
k2. Rep from * 1 time. Change to Gtr st; (RS)
work 2 rows even, end WS row. (RS) BO all sts
knitwise. Do NOT break yarn. Leave last loop
live for buttonhole band.
FINISHING
Buttonhole Band: With crochet hook and RS
facing, insert hook into last loop from BO.
Work into every other row along side edge of
cuff, sc 2, ch 5; rep from * 3 times, sc 9 to CO
edge of cuff. Wrap cuff around wrist, mark
where the buttonholes lay comfortably; sew
buttons to RS of cuff opposite buttonholes
where marked. Block pcs to measurements.
