3. Develop understanding about the Environmental and Social issues, including the<br />

project’s Environmental and Social Management Framework.<br />

4. Build and enhance the capability <strong>of</strong> all stakeholders for the sustainability <strong>of</strong><br />

programs initiated by the project.<br />

5. Strengthen community participation and ensure their positive involvement in<br />

sustainably managing their common property resources.<br />

Target Groups:<br />

An initial training needs assessment will be carried out to<br />

determine the training needs <strong>of</strong> various stakeholders in the project. The capacity<br />

building strategy will target:<br />

1. Policy makers and executives <strong>of</strong> PRIs<br />

2. PIA staff/ field functionaries<br />

3. WC<br />

4. CBOs and other community members<br />

5. Panchayat Secretaries<br />

6. Secretary <strong>of</strong> WC to be appointed under the project<br />
