To prepare an IGA related Sub-plan for<br />

vulnerable groups to improve their livelihood<br />

To devise ways and means for upgrading the<br />

soil structure and providing irrigation facilities<br />

as and where practicable by scientifically<br />

blended options with traditional local wisdom<br />

for enriching vegetational growth for catering<br />

local needs.<br />

Optimum utilization <strong>of</strong> land potential<br />

producing zone specific crops along with<br />

horti, fodder, fuel and timber species. Site<br />

selection <strong>of</strong> appropriate engineering as well<br />

as non-engineering measure to improve soil<br />

condition and check further erosion.<br />

negative social and environmental impacts<br />

<strong>of</strong> vulnerable sections, increasing their<br />

income generation avenues, along with<br />

safeguarding environment.<br />

The exercise mentioned above will determine the scope and parameters <strong>of</strong> watershed<br />

development and the extent <strong>of</strong> community participation for a particular village. In order
