Under horticulture activities 416 orchard development and 344 ha. high value crops<br />

and medicinal/aromatic plants were demonstrated<br />

Under livestock activity fodder crop demonstration in 183 ha. and pasture<br />

development in 271 ha. have been carried out.<br />

Under Capacity building 408 staff members and 69442 community members<br />

including PRI members have been imparted training during the year.<br />

Under GPWDP, 46322 m 3 agriculture terrace repair, 2052 ha. Agriculture &<br />

vegetable minikits demonstration were carried out.<br />

Under drainage line treatment in 118580 m 3 soil conservation structures were built<br />

during the year.<br />

Under GPWDP, 48 Km. irrigation channel, 393 irrigation tank, 2589 ro<strong>of</strong> water<br />

harvesting tank and 88 village pond were carried out.<br />

Expenditure details- During this year the total expenditure was 71.9062 crores, thus<br />

having a cumulative expenditure <strong>of</strong> 189.3016 crores since the inception <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Project excluding beneficiary contribution. So far the Project has received a total<br />

beneficiary contribution <strong>of</strong> about 14.3698 crores since the inception <strong>of</strong> the Project.<br />

First round <strong>of</strong> Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) in 342 GPs, second<br />

round in 242 GPs, third round in 118 GPs and forth round in 42 GPs were carried<br />

out.<br />

Mid Term Review impact as reported by The Energy <strong>Resources</strong> Institute (TERI),<br />

New Delhi<br />

1. Social mobilization has resulted in formation <strong>of</strong> community institutions viz. 447<br />

WWMC, 930 RVC, 585 FIGs.<br />

2. Approx. 70% <strong>of</strong> target households were found to be involved in preparation <strong>of</strong><br />

GPWDP.<br />

3. The women focus in the project has resulted in high participation <strong>of</strong> women in<br />

project activities.<br />

4. Up to 52% benefits found to be flowing to „C‟ category household which constitute<br />

the vulnerable groups in the project.<br />
