The <strong>Apparel</strong> <strong>Production</strong> program for fashion related industries focuses on the design elements,<br />
development, and production of textile products and related processes and systems. It<br />
includes instruction in functional and aesthetic design, commercial sewing, production<br />
processes, planning, estimating, and quality assessment. Students may gain hands-on<br />
experience in all aspects of the fashion related production process in a supervised fashion<br />
internship. Students with this certificate of completion may find entry-level employment in<br />
various capacities from textile and apparel related retailing to fashion industry related<br />
production jobs; or students may continue their career education by transferring to a four-year<br />
institution or by completing course requirements for a certificate of achievement or an<br />
associate in applied science degree.<br />

2. It is recommended that students begin their worksite search one semester before<br />
enrolling for Fashion Internship by completing a job application at the Career and<br />
Employment Services office, room 218 Gannon Building or online at www.lcc.edu/ces.<br />

maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or above in the courses required for the certificate.<br />
