RCIA Completes Another Successful Year<br />

HERE ARE MANY PEOPLE<br />
IN OUR PARISH WHOM<br />
I WANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE<br />
FOR THEIR HELP WITH OUR<br />
RCIA PROGRAM. We are a faith<br />
community that graciously and generously shared our<br />
individual faith journeys with those who sought to join us as<br />
<strong>Catholic</strong>s. Together we walked on the journey to the Lord. We shared our<br />
love for our <strong>Catholic</strong> faith as we helped others come to know and love the Lord in a<br />
uniquely <strong>Catholic</strong> way.<br />
I WANT TO PUBLICLY ACKNOWLEDGE THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO HELPED ME prepare<br />
the seven individuals who we welcomed into our <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anthony</strong> Community of Faith at this<br />
year’s Easter Vigil:<br />
▪ Our RCIA Team: Sister Ella Binz, Paul Greenawalt, Tree Guzy, Vicky <strong>St</strong>asulus and<br />
Colleen Mora who faithfully came to our Tuesday night classes in the Padua Center.<br />
▪ Our speakers who presented on a variety of topics related to our <strong>Catholic</strong> Faith and<br />
who are such a wonderful asset to our program: Carol & Ray Bodnar, Pat & Paul<br />
Greenawalt, Lindy Sue Bartz, Barb Boucek, Sister Ella, Deacon Rich & Diana Rosko,<br />
Deacon Don Berkey, Deacon Don Higgins, Deacon Tony Schlott, Deacon Dan Danahey,<br />
Deacon Joe Johnson, Sophie Follenweider, Jan & Wally Gorczowski, Bill Kenny & Mike Guzy.<br />
▪ Father Greg who presided over a beautiful Teaching Mass that introduced the class to the<br />
weekly celebration of the Eucharist—the heart and soul of our <strong>Catholic</strong> Faith.<br />
▪ Wayne Luff, Colleen Mora and Barb Boucek for taking pictures of the RCIA class and various<br />
RCIA events held throughout the year.<br />
▪ Mike and Tree Guzy who created the photo display of this year’s class that you see in the<br />
atrium of our church.<br />
▪ Bev Regalado who provided secretarial support for our RCIA classes and our RCIA Retreat.<br />
▪ Jeanne Gayton who helped secure meeting places for our class and church times for our<br />
various RCIA events.<br />
▪ Raul Mendoza who set up our meeting room in the Padua Center for our weekly classes.<br />
▪ Deacon Tony Schlott who helped recruit members for our RCIA class through his Office of<br />
Adult Faith Formation.<br />
▪ Ann Wator and Linda Pierzchalski who made the beautiful baptismal stoles for our RCIA class.<br />
▪ Deacon Joe Johnson who planned and coordinated all of the various RCIA Liturgies and Rites.<br />
▪ Karen Kiley who made the arrangements for our RCIA Fall Welcome Dinner and the Easter<br />
Vigil Reception hosted by Father Greg in the rectory.<br />
▪ Special thanks to our pastor, Father Greg, who worked behind the scenes with me on many<br />
aspects of the RCIA program and hosted two wonderful dinner receptions for our RCIA class<br />
and their families.<br />
▪ And finally to my wife, Barb, who is always there to give me help, support and suggestions<br />
to help make our RCIA program run smoothly.<br />

AY GOD BLESS ALL OF THOSE WHO HELPED ME SHEPHERD THIS year’s RCIA class into<br />
our <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Anthony</strong> Community of Faith. Please forgive me if I have inadvertently<br />
forgotten to mention anyone who helped me this year with RCIA. As you can see<br />
from the number of people listed, RCIA is not a one-man show but a community of believers<br />
dedicated to spreading the Faith.<br />
