By this concerted action the team hopes to force the national representatives to answer as<br />
otherwise the synthetic data presented will be used in context of <strong>ETIS</strong> and this might be not the<br />
ones used for national transport planning. Also it is expected that at least some countries will<br />
provide information so that the difference in quality of information might influence the<br />
willingness to cooperate by providing data.<br />
The risk one faces with this action is the delay in answers which occurs as well as the request<br />
from the national policy levels to be more included into the generation process of the European<br />
passenger flow matrix. If necessary this procedure could take up some more time than planned<br />
to allow for such interactions. But in the light of the general idea of <strong>ETIS</strong> such a situation has to<br />
be evaluated as very beneficial even if it is causing delays.<br />
